W0w !! Fantastic 1963 Econoline Pickup " The Lowliner" V8 Automatic Custom. on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
WOW !! The LowLiner is up for sale ! After 6 years of fabrication I am offering my 1963 Econoline pickup for sale on Ebay. It is fully restored. The truck is Painted in basecoat/clearcoat ,tropical turqoise blue. It has had many mild custom tricks performed on it . The number one thing is the INTERNET LEGEND " Tumble Down Tailgate" with Ranger latch. It took 37 hours to fabricate this notorious Gate. The truck also has a 2 1/2 inch lower front pan with beedrolled accent line, 4 inch side skirting welded into the stock lower side rail so it appears stock Plus a 1 1/2"rear apron extension. On the box rail the stake pockets have been removed and inner box sides have been scheared, beedrolled and installed, also new steel tubs have been installed with a new floor. The whole thing was then covered in charcoal marine carpet trimmed in dark grey. The floor carpet and pad is removable if you should want to haul something in the box. Inside the cab the interior walls and roof were covered in beedrolled steel panels and the painted basecoat/clearcoat along with the doors and dash. heavy metalflake scallops and white stripping were then overlayed onto the dash and insturment panel. The steering wheel was nicely restored, the seats reupholstered, plus full carpet and pad were layed down. The doors and windows have all new seals, wiskers and anti rattle kits. To top the interior off, I have fabricated a shifting pod for the mustang C4 shifter and cable. For those of you who don't know these econoline pickups, They were BARE BONES units. They were all small 6 cyl engined trucks with 3 speed manual transmissions. They had little or no interior panels or carpet. This truck didn't even have a glove box door or a passenger side sunvisor. There were no inner box sides or rear bumpers. You got very little for very little money, that was the idea. The new powertrain is strong, fresh, and modern. It features a high performance 302 V8 Ford with new Demon carb,Edelbrock intake, and a Crane cam, all the hp parts were selected to give good reliable (Street ) performance . It is a strong reliable and trouble free ride ! I can drive it anywhere and I actually have a few thousand miles on the truck. The rest of the drive train includes a flipped and dropped front axle, a flipped and narrowed 9 "inch ford rearend and C'd rear frame rails. the safety issues have been addressed with a complete brake job, new shocks, new driveshaft Plus the new special edition American racing wheels 16"front and 17" rear Torque thrust wheels, shod in high end BF GoodRich tires. This is indeed a one of a kind truck. It has never been wrecked, has no rust history and was garaged the majority of it's life. I am the third owner of the truck. All the work is done in (STEEL) , there is no plastic,or fiberglass involved in the modification. The complete artistic rendering was done to produce a Long, Low and smooth flowing design that looks like it's factory made. I think I have reached my goal, and now it's for sale to you. Buy it now for $27,500 Thanks everyone for the interest, and good luck to all bidders. Brian

Rolling footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang hits YouTube [w/video]
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Just in time for the holidays: Ford took the 2015 Mustang to Route 66 to cook up rolling footage, and we've been given some of the leftovers ahead of the meal. There are no burnouts, no donuts, no revving, and thankfully, no music. It's just two minutes and 26 seconds of the new pony car running free in the desert.
So in case you needed more visualizing help, the video below will help you start imagining how you'll look in your 2014 Christmas present to yourself...
Ford Explorer gets appearance pack for 2015
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Remember when Ford launched the totally new Explorer in late 2010, and people were skeptical about how the now-crossover would fare, after ditching its traditional SUV roots? Well, we're several years in, and I think we can assuredly say that Ford made the right decision. Sales are better than ever (in fact, May was the current Explorer's best month yet), and the crossover is finding its way into the hands of a whole host of new Ford buyers.
A wholly refreshed Explorer is still forthcoming, but to keep its strong-selling crossover fresh, Ford is offering a host of improvements for the 2015 model year, including the attractive appearance package available on the XLT trim level, pictured above. Outside, the pack gets you goodies like 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, black bodyside cladding and roof rack rails. Contrasting Magnetic Metallic accents are found on the grille, mirror caps and liftgate appliqué, and there's an "Explorer" hood badge and body-colored door handles. Inside, there are new Miko suede inserts in the seats, and the package includes the automaker's Sync connectivity with MyFord Touch infotainment.
Elsewhere in the Explorer range, the Class III trailer tow pack is now standard on the Sport, base models get new 18-inch aluminum wheels, and there are three new colors on offer: Bronze Fire Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.
Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels
Tue, 22 Jan 2013During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.
