Hello, I have a really nice shape War Time Pickup here, Ford only made 19, 000 of these trucks World Wide, and the only ones here in the U.S.A. were sold to Farmers and the Government, the body is very nice and the bed is near dent free, the wood in the bed will need replaced, it is complete minus 2 things, the Driveline is gone and the tailgate is gone, the Flathead V8 is not in the truck but the Transmission is still in it, I do have a V8 Flathead that will go with this truck. It will need to be rebuilt.  I found this Old truck down in Cloverdale, Ca. The farmer that owned it was the second owner and he owned it since 1962 he said he was the second owner, he told me the engine went bad in the 1970's and he took it out and never fixed the truck, it was last registured in 1973, and still has the old licence plates on the front and rear, you really have to come and see this old truck. My name is Alan my phone number is 1 530 938 4232 lets talk. All Shipping costs will be made by the new owner, I will help be here and load it on a Truck to be hauled away. I was going to make a Rat Rod out of it but its a little to nice and not many left to do that too, I don't have the time or money at this time and I have way to many projects going on right now, if you are close enough, come and take a look theres very little body damage and or rust through on this truck. anyway call or come by and take a look, This truck comes with a Clean Bill of Sale, Thanks Alan. Also wanted to remind you that the V8 Flathead is out of the truck and will have to be sent with the truck and secured in the bed of the truck somehow, unless you come to pick it up. Also Payment will be either Cash or Bank Transfer Only.

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.

Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.

2015 Ford Mustang fuel economy ratings leaked

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Thinking about buying a new Mustang, but want to know what kind of fuel economy it'll get? Well we have our first indication as the pony-car enthusiasts over at Mustang6G.com have gotten a hold of the Monroney window stickers for a few of the new 2015 Mustang models.
Although the V8 model is not among them, we can now see how the EPA has rated those models with a half dozen pistons or less. The Mustang EcoBoost with the turbo four and a manual transmission has been rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. The V6 manual gets 17 city and 28 highway, while the V6 automatic squeezes out a bit more in the city at 19 mpg but carries the same 28 highway rating.
By way of comparison, the latest Chevy Camaro with the V6 and a stick shift gets the same 17/28 EPA rating as a similarly equipped new 'Stang, and the V6 automatic Camaro gets 18/27 (slightly behind the Ford, but if you opt for the Camaro 2LS with its V6, automatic and 2.92 rear axle ratio, you'll be looking at 19 and 30).
