RARE 1940 Panel Delivery 1/2 ton. A clear Kansas title is on it's way with a clear reading original frame stamped Vehicle ID number in the correct place. **The next to last picture is a file photo of "vision completed"; sculptured to it's 1940 showroom moment (WHAT THIS PROJECT IS CAPABLE OF BECOMING, & I think this one for sale was same blue color paint). The last photo is my fun 1940 pick up truck is last picture (seperately listed on Ebay for sale.
Solid metal throughout considering. Some inner original floor & side wood still in place. This truck is worth my Buy Now price even if you are going to just remove & install the body on another Ford chassis or onto a Hot Rod ready chassis. Both doors are solid with crank mechanisms; neither are latching, hinges are solid but need correct pins (no glass other then patterns stored in cargo). Rear doors seem decent.
It does roll & steer. The steering column/wheel is correct for original restore; steering wheel is not. There are no brakes; can be put into gear for transport position lock. Flathead motor is stuck/locked up. Has an ""extra fender"" to replace the much dented right rear fender. Has Mercury rippled/custom bumpers. Rear one installed, front one inside truck cargo area. Gas tank is totally bad; I will include a "fuel cell" with foams (about $200 value) for temporary restore fuel supply or for Hot Rod conversion. Beauty rings included. Call 904-881-3495 for info. As is sale. For sale/trade-cash up/down locally.
On Feb-01-13 at 05:20:53 PST, seller added the following information:
There is one of these (1940) a buyer can get for about the price mine is bid to now. It does not steer, frame is shot, body is falling down around frame/dragging on ground (no floor & not much cross support), no engine, no trans, no inner woods, rear doors shot, etc. Which means: you want this truck I have for sale that has some solidarity to it -BUCK up the moola; pay the price; accept the reality. This truck can be lifted off the frame, repaired/prepped for original or hot rod, and bolted back down to its solid frame or hot rod chassis. It won't crumble in the process. $30,000 + market value when done, whether it is made original or hot rodded. If you plan on waiting for a miracle (your price purchase around $3000), please MOVE ON. This will sell for around my price, or never! The frame without the body is worth $2000. Add the body (or fabricate one?) value & ownership clear title with a factory stamped frame; walla-your purchase price is my Ebay price as you see it. If you find another delivery truck WWII wholy grail project better than this at this price-buy it.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
