1969 Ford N600. Restored inside and out. The truck started out as a rust free vehicle, Was taken apart , all paint stripped and professionally repainted the original red color. The engine was rebuilt by a professional mechanic from the crank shaft out. It runs, drives and shifts like new. All brakes were rebuilt, wheel bearings, and wheel seals. Approx. $30,000 was spent on engine rebuild ,exhaust manifolds, brakes ,bearings, wheels, radiator, new alternator, new Edelbrock carb, custom mounted Rancho front shocks, new tires etc. , etc.. Interior was completely restored, padded dash, seat, vinyl flooring, speedo, tachometer ,instrument bezel, steering wheel, new windshield, all new rubber weather-stripping, all redone. Vintage radio installed. Everything works: heater, lights, gauges, radio. Transmission is a 4 speed with two speed rear axle. Wheels have been stripped and powder coated black. The two steel I-beams on back are weight to help it ride smooth. They are easily removable, when bed of choice would be installed. This truck gets some serious attention whenever I take it out for a drive. The truck could be the ultimate vintage car hauler, flat bed , or just cruise it the way it is. It would be difficult to find one like it, or in as nice condition. Over $45 K was spent restoring this American piece of history. Call 949-887-3335 to schedule a showing or with questions. THIS TRUCK IS USED AND IS SOLD AS IS:NO WARRANTY |

Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:

BMW V8-powered Ford Model A is the definition of Hot Rod
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Today, hotrodding has a pretty staid definition. Take one classic American car, add one classic American V8, sprinkle with tire smoke and you pretty much have every hot rod to roll out of a shop in the last 40 years. Mike Borroughs knows it wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, getting your bucket to go faster meant grabbing whatever parts were lazing about the yard, bolting them together with a bit of ingenuity and laughing your way down the quarter mile. It's in that spirit that Burroughs built his 1928 Ford Model A.
Rather than turn to the tired flathead or the common Chevrolet small block, Burroughs plucked a 4.0-liter V8 from a 1995 BMW 7 Series. With 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine has no trouble shuffling the old A around town. He had to build a custom chassis to get everything to cooperate, but the result is a 1,500-pound heathen that looks built to harass dry lake beds. You can check it out in the video below. Be warned, the soundtrack by Hanni el Khatib may not be safe for work - awesomeness of this caliber rarely is.
