2000 Ford F650 Pick Up Monster Truck Diesel F-650 No Reserve on 2040-cars
West Palm Beach, Florida, United States
You are viewing one of the baddest trucks on the road. A 2000 Ford F650. This truck turns heads wherever I go. Up for sale with a NO RESERVE auction.
Exterior: Ford white, paint is in excellent shape, and waxed on a regular basis. There are a few small scratches as seen in the photos. I have added a few extras to spice up the exterior styling: Smoke led cab lights, mirror lights, and marker lights on the dually fenders. Wheels and tires cost me over $5,000. They are less than 6 months old with only a few hundred miles. They are true semi truck wheels and tires, 24.5" !!!! The truck has been lifted 7" over factory and the rear rides on a Freightliner airbag system. Interior: The interior is from a 2007 F350. It features gray leather that is in excellent shape. The stereo/dvd player is awesome and includes a rear mounted amp with two 10" sub woofers. Engine/transmission: The Dodge Cummins engine was a factory upgrade and well worth it!! This 6 cylinder has plenty of power and great gas mileage as well. The engine is completely factory and runs awesome. The transmission is also a factory option Allison automatic. I did upgrade the exhaust with a free flowing 5" system and flow through muffler. The truck is 2WD NOT 4wd This is not a normal pick up truck, it will tow ANYTHING you hook to it. Plenty of power while cruising with the ice cold a/c on. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 561-723-7757. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, the highest bidder will win this amazing truck. I hate to see it go, but with another child on the way the toys must go. |

Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute
Fri, Jan 9 2015Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.
GM readying aluminum-body fullsize pickups
Wed, 19 Feb 2014Ford's extensive use of aluminum in its 2015 F-150 is a big deal. A really big deal. Big enough, in fact, that General Motors is reportedly changing its fullsize pickup strategy. According to The Wall Street Journal, The General has locked in partnerships with Alcoa Inc. and Novelis Inc. - companies that will supply aluminum for the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.
"Ford's introduction of the 2015 F-150 pickup truck was a game changer, and it's the first, not the last, conversion of this type," Novelis spokesperson Charles Belbin told the Journal. The switch to aluminum has allowed Ford to shave roughly 700 pounds off its fullsize truck's curb weight. And while official mileage ratings have not been announced, the weight loss should go a long way for improving efficiency, especially when combined other efficiency-minded improvements including better aerodynamics and new, turbocharged V6 engines.
Of course, aluminum-bodied cars are nothing new. But extensive use of aluminum in a major, best-selling product like the Ford F-150 is expected to kick off widespread use of this weight-saving material as availability rises and cost decreases. The WSJ reports that GM had originally explored the idea of moving to aluminum pickups back in 2008, but abandoned the idea due to cost concerns amid economic woes.
Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
