This auction is for a 2000 Ford F650 Crew Cab. She is a custom build, built by Ruta 40 Trucks. She is by far the meanest, toughest F650 in North America. She has a Cummins ISB, Allison automatic transmission and runs excellent. She has a complete custom suspension designed to take full advantage and enhance the F650 towing and load capabilities. She sounds like a beast with custom muffler and exhaust. She is lifted and sports Michelin X Z L 24R21's in the back. In the front she floats Michelin G-20 Pilote XL 15.5/80R20's. The tires do need to be balanced. She has been meticulously crafted with precision design combining utter strength with incredible taste. Every detail has been carefully chosen from the custom LED lighting to the custom light and grill guards; all coming together in harmony. Her bumper was custom built and is a one of a kind, giving the driver all the needed extra light for night adventures (custom switches on the interior allow the driver to choose how much light he wants to cast). She has a Diablo chip for fine tuning to your needs. This truck is a one of a kind and truly a rockstar of the road. I know we all see the ads about how much attention this or that truck gets on the road. This truck is EPIC. Understand, this is a BIG RIG, she stands over 10 feet and is massive. I strongly suggest any serious bidders to make the trip to beautiful Destin FL where the truck is located and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed, you will be very glad that you did. FYI - The welding machine in the bed is not included in the sale.
Ruta 40 Trucks crafts custom truck designs inspired by the Dakar Rally. Trucks that can be put to the test, whether it is desert racing, snow, sand, water and the apocalypse if need be. The idea behind our work is to step outside of the box when it comes to custom conversions. A fresh take on the process. The strength of our trucks is only matched by their tasteful and harmonious beauty. We are proud to offer our services and customize your truck as well. We can do anything from 4x4 conversions, military truck conversions, desert racing trucks or custom lifts, tires, etc. We don't order some stuff from EBAY and call it custom. We approach each project as unique and listen to what the truck needs. We have top-of-the line equipment and technology with a taste that lends more of a European flair. We love to convert big rigs into toy haulers that can face the toughest challenges our customers can.
Please call 850-687-8756 if you are interested in this truck or our services. Thank you.
And yes, this ad pains me, but it is time for her to find a new home. She needs a stable environment, lots of fun, she loves the sand and the surf. She loves to tow, she brought one of her sister F650's home without breaking a sweat....Oh and please don't ask me about miles per gallon, clearly she's a hybrid (wink). We call her Susie and she is a sweetheart. Good luck and call 850-687-8756 with any questions.
We do occasionally consider trades, must have clear title in hand. If you are interested, send a message or call and we can discuss the possibility. Thank you.

Automakers want to stop the EPA's fuel economy rules change, and why that's a shortsighted move
Tue, Dec 6 2016With a Trump Administration looming, the EPA moved quickly after the election to propose finalizing future fuel economy rules last week. The auto industry doesn't like that (surprise), and has started making moves to stop the EPA. Ford CEO Mark Fields said he wanted to lobby Trump to lower the standards, and now the Auto Alliance, a manufacturer group, is saying it will join the fight against cleaner cars. The Alliance represents 12 automakers: BMW, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Toyota, VW, and Volvo. Gloria Bergquist, a spokesperson for the Alliance, told Automotive News that the "EPA's sudden and controversial move to propose auto regulations eight months early - even after Congress warned agencies about taking such steps while political appointees were packing their bags - calls out for congressional action to pause this rulemaking until a thoughtful policy review can occur." The EPA was going to consider public comments through April 2017, but then said it would move the deadline to the end of December. That means that it can finalize the rules before President Obama leaves office. The director of public affairs for the Consumer Federation of America, Jack Gillis, said on a conference call with reporters last week when the EPA originally announced its decision that it is unlikely that President Trump will be able to roll back these changes. Gillis also said on the same call that any attempt by the automakers to prevent these changes would be history repeating itself. "These are the same companies that fought airbags, and now promoting the fact that every car has multiple airbags," he said. "These are the same companies that fought the crash-test program, and now are promoting the crash-test ratings published by the government. So, it's clear that they're misperceiving the needs of the American consumer." There are more reasons the Allliance's pushback is flawed. Carol Lee Rawn, the transportation program director for Ceres, said on that call that the automotive industry is a global one, and many automakers are moving to global platforms to help them meet strict fuel economy rules around the world.
Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.
1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
