RARE TRUCK!!! THIS TRUCK IS A 1952 FORD F1 WITH (AS FORD REFERRED TO IT AS) "THE DELUXE FIVE STAR EXTRA CAB PACKAGE"  WHICH MEANS IT CAME WITH STAINLESS TRIM AROUND THE WINDSHIELD AND HOOD SIDES, (ONE HOOD SIDE TRIM MISSING), IT INCLUDED THE INSIDE CAB LIGHT WHICH IS STILL IN PLACE, A LOCKING GLOVE BOX WHICH I STILL HAVE THE KEY FOR, KEYED DOOR LOCKS ON BOTH DOORS, I HAVE THE KEYS FOR THOSE TOO, UPHOLSTERED DOOR PANELS AND ARM REST WHICH ARE STILL THERE BUT NEED ATTENTION, DUAL WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND DUAL SUN VISORS ALL OF WHICH ARE ON THE TRUCK, CIG LIGHTER, TWIN HORNS, FOAM PADDED SEAT AND EXTRA SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL THROUGHOUT THE CAB. IT ALSO CAME WITH A FACTORY INSTALLED GRILL GUARD WHICH IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND HAS KEPT THE GRILL AND HEADLIGHT BEZELS IN PERFECT SHAPE. BOTH DOORS OPEN AND SHUT WITH EASE, THE HOOD OPENS AND SHUTS NICELY BUT HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE FINAL LATCHING. HOOD HINGES WORK GREAT.

THE TRUCK HAS A 239 V-8 FLATHEAD WHICH IS IN THE TRUCK AND COMPLETE.....NOTHING MISSING EXCEPT ONE PLUG WIRE. IT HAS A 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WHICH SEEMS TO WORK GREAT...THE SHIFTER IS STILL ON THE ORIGINAL STEERING COLUMN. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AS WELL AS THE REGISTRATION PAPERS UP UNTIL AROUND 1968 WHEN IT WAS PARKED ACCORDING TO ONE OF HIS FAMILY MEMBERS. I BELIEVE THE ENGINE WOULD RUN PERFECT WITH A LITTLE TLC.... I HAVE MARVEL MYSTERY OIL IN THE CYLINDERS AND AM SURE IT WOULDN'T TAKE MUCH TO TURN IT OVER AS THE ENGINE APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN LEFT OPEN OR TO THE WEATHER. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 11,000 MILES AND THAT MAY VERY WELL BE CORRECT. REAR END IS ORIGINAL AND ROLLS PERFECT.

AS WITH ALL 62 YEAR OLD TRUCKS IT HAS SOME RUST BUT IT'S REALLY NOT BAD AT ALL COMPARED TO MOST I SEE. THE LOWER FRONT FENDERS AT THE RUNNING BOARDS HAVE SOME RUST BUT I HAVE NEW PATCH PANELS FOR BOTH SIDES THAT GO WITH THE TRUCK. ALSO HAS SOME RUST ON THE FRONT FENDERS NEAR THE FRONT BUT SMALL PATCH PANELS WOULD FIX THESE EASILY. THE FLOOR HAS SOME RUST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY, BUT AGAIN NOT A BIG DEAL. THE RUNNING BOARDS AREN'T VERY GOOD BUT THERE IS A USED SET IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK THAT ARE SOLID WHICH ALSO GO WITH THE TRUCK. IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO BUILD A "PATINA" TRUCK, JUST FIX THE FLOOR BOARD AND LEAVE THE REST....IT'S COOL LIKE IT IS!!!!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO ASK THEM. THE RESERVE PRICE IS FAIR BUT I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY. THIS IS A RARE NICE TRUCK, SO BID ACCORDINGLY. IF YOU HAVE NO MEANS OF PAYING FOR THE TRUCK, PLEASE DON'T BID..... I'VE HAD MY SHARE OF DEADBEATS OVER THE YEARS... I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANYTIME PRIOR TO THE RESERVE BEING MET AS IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AS WELL....IF YOU'D LIKE TO MAKE A REALISTIC OFFER FOR ME TO END THE AUCTION PLEASE DO SO, BUT PLEASE DON'T ASK WHAT THE RESERVE IS.

I ACCEPT CASH IN PERSON, WIRE TRANSFER FROM YOUR BANK TO MY LOCAL BANK DEALING WITH BANK PRESIDENT, PAYPAL IF YA HAVE TO BUT WOULD RATHER NOT DUE TO THE FEE'S THEY CHARGE BUT IF THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH THAT WILL BE FINE, PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECK....BUT ALL FUNDS (REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY'RE MADE) MUST CLEAR BEFORE THE TRUCK LEAVES MY PROPERTY.... I'M AN HONEST MAN AND EXPECT THE SAME.....I ASK THAT THE TRUCK BE REMOVED FROM MY PROPERTY ASAP AS I DON'T HAVE THE SPACE TO STORE IT...THERE WILL BE A 30.00 PER DAY CHARGE FOR STORAGE FEE'S AFTER 3 WEEKS FROM SELL DATE UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE..

Ford cuts production at 5 plants, has big backload of cars including Mustang

Wed, Sep 20 2017

DETROIT — Ford said on Tuesday it plans to idle five North American vehicle assembly plants for a total of 10 weeks to reduce inventories of slow-selling models. The plants affected include three assembly plants in the United States and two in Mexico, the company said in a statement. The vehicle models include the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ midsize sedans, the Ford Focus compact car, the Lincoln Continental and Ford Mustang, Ford Fiesta and the Ford Transit van. Ford said the Cuautitlan assembly plant that builds the Fiesta would be idled for three weeks. The Hermosillo, Mexico plant that builds the Fusion and MKZ and the Flat Rock, Michigan, factory that assembles Continentals and Mustangs will be idled for two weeks each. The Michigan Assembly plant that builds the Focus will be idled for one week, and the Kansas City assembly line that builds Transit vans will be down for two weeks. Ford did not give dates for the temporary shutdowns. The factories involved employ more than 15,000 people, according to Ford's website. The company did not say how many of those workers would face temporary layoffs. As of Sept. 1, Ford had 111 days' worth of unsold Mustangs, 87 days' supply of Fusions, and a 103 days' supply of Transit vans, according to Automotive News. Dealers had enough unsold Lincoln Continentals to last 162 days. Automakers aim for 65 to 70 days of inventory of most models. Ford and rival General Motors have wrestled most of this year to rein in high inventories of passenger cars as consumers have shifted to buying pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. Production cuts slice into revenue, but also could help the automakers avoid deeper price cuts on vehicles they can sell. Ford reports $3B profit in Q4, $6.9B for the year

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Good news out of Dearborn today, as Ford announced $3 billion in profit for the last quarter of 2013, a 90-percent increase over the same period of 2012. Net income for all of last year, meanwhile, jumped to $7.2 billion from $5.7 billion in 2012, while pre-tax profits sat at a decade-topping $6.9 billion for all of 2013.
The results of the substantial profit increases are bigger profit-sharing checks for UAW employees. How big? A record $8,800 on average for 47,000 UAW workers, making 2013 the biggest year for profit sharing in Ford history. In total, $414 million will be paid as part of the profit-sharing scheme.
Now, it should be pointed out that a fair portion of Ford's Q4 profits were due to tax benefits, totaling $2.1 billion, according to Automotive News. Total profits would have also been higher, had there not been a significant recall on the Escape, as well as plant issues in South America.

Weekly Recap: Marchionne's Manifesto again calls for industry consolidation

Sat, May 2 2015

Sergio Marchionne isn't taking no for an answer. Despite public rebuffs from General Motors and Ford, the leader of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues to push for consolidation within the auto industry. His latest assertion came Wednesday when he said a combination of FCA with another automaker could net savings of $5 billion or more annually. No, this isn't about selling his company, he claimed, it's about cutting costs. Put simply, the auto industry wastes money, Marchionne said during FCA's earnings conference call. Companies invest billions to develop basic components that all cars use, but many consumers don't care how they work or recognize the differences. "About half of this is really relevant in terms of positioning the car in the marketplace," he said. "The other half, in our view, is stuff which is neither visible to the consumer nor is it relevant to the consumer." In 2014, top automakers spent more than $100 million on product development, FCA estimated. Marchionne said consolidation could save up to $1 billion on powertrains alone, noting that almost every automaker offers four- and six-cylinder engines. Not everyone has to make their own, he contended. "The consumer could not give a flying leap whose engines we are using because they are irrelevant to the buying decision." That's pretty provocative for enthusiasts, but less so for average consumers. Still, there are major differences in power and efficiency ratings, even among similar engines. Skeptics could argue consolidation would also weaken competition and reduce choices for car buyers. Marchionne stressed his presentation, curiously entitled Confessions of a Capital Junkie, wouldn't require closing factories or dealerships. It's not his final "big deal" as CEO, intent to sell FCA, or a way to elevate his company up the automotive food chain. He claims he wants to fundamentally change the industry and its habit for burning cash. "The horrible part about this, and the thing that I find most offensive, is that the capital consumption rate is duplicative," he said. "It doesn't deliver real value to the consumer and it is in its purest form, economic waste."
