You are looking at one of the more popular Ford F-1 Pickups with a FLATHEAD V8 with a original 4 speed transmission. Remember this was farm truck top speed is about 50 or so.  This truck is mostly original, except for tires and rims. Truck has been converted to 12 volt with alternator by previous owner. The truck body is in great shape due to the fact that is was stored here in Arizona over 30 years. Look at the nice frame. I got the truck up running for my 15 year son ,but did not want it..his lost
The running boards have been chromed sometime ago.
The glass is all in great condition and 90% of the chrome is in great shape.
The wood floor was replaced sometime ago with an aluminum floor. This is a great driver ..... Remember this truck was restored 20 plus years ago it has some chips, scratches in the paint the biggest in the left rear fender about 4 inches also has some body  filler in that dent . I also have old receipts that shows that the truck has been here since 1989. The truck is in running driving order and the following things have been replaced with receipts

New fuel lines
New fuel pump
Overhauled carburator Ford 94

New radiator

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.
