1934 Ford Pick-up Truck Street Rod on 2040-cars
Alton, Illinois, United States
Engine:Chevy 327
Mileage: 100,000
Make: Ford
Model: Other Pickups
Trim: standard
Drive Type: rear wheel
This is a 1934 Ford truck I am selling for a friend. It is powered by a 327 Chevy with a turbo 400 transmission. The engine has an aluminum Dominator intake with a 4 bbl. Quadra Jet carb. Mustang style floor shifter .Has the stock radiator. Has a dropped tube front axle with hairpin style radius rods. Drum brakes front and rear. There is a problem with the drivetrain. It is the rear axle set-up. There is a Chevy 10 bolt coil axle type rear end mounted to Camaro single leaf springs. The springs are bent badly and the whole installation is done poorly. I would say it all needs replaced. The truck does run good but I consider the rear end set-up unsafe to drive. The body is fair, does not appear to be rotted out but has bondo and there are chips dings etc. The doors do not align very well. Interior is OK. Truck would have to be trailered as it is not safe to drive except maybe around the block. I would highly recommend coming and inspecting the truck. I will require a 500 dollar deposit within 5 days of purchase to Paypal, Remainder of payment will be arranged with my friend who will contact buyer. The truck does have a clear title. I want to make sure it is understood this is a running truck but needs work to make it safe and drivable, rear axle set up mainly. Bid with confidence, check my feedback and please ask any questions you may have.

Watch this Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fly like an eagle [UPDATE]
Mon, 04 Feb 2013The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a very capable truck right out of the box, but "capable" has never translated into "invincible." Just ask the owner of the machine in this video. In it, the driver gets frisky with an aggressive jump with plenty of speed on his hands. The result is enough air to make Vaughn Gittin Jr. blush. As always, it's not the launch that's painful, but the re-entry. Gravity eventually asserts its dominance over the $43,630 pickup in a big way, and when it comes crashing down, it does so with a vengeance.
The impact was hard enough to set off both the alarm and multiple airbags inside the cabin. It's unclear if anyone was injured in the stunt, but we certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear that was the case. You can check out the stunt in the video below, and remember, when in doubt, back out of the throttle. Be warned, there may be some explicit/NSFW language in the clip.
UPDATE: Second video added with an even better look at the jump added below.
Ford F-Series Super Duty prototype reduced to smoldering mess of aluminum and steel [UPDATE]
Mon, 04 Aug 2014The most important bit of information you need to know after looking through our high-res gallery of images depicting a prototype 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup truck burning to the ground is that nobody was hurt. There were two engineers inside the vehicle when it caught fire, and both exited to safety.
That's the good news. The bad news is that the truck, which appears to have been testing in Death Valley, appears to be a total loss, minus, of course, whatever information Ford can glean from the conflagration - particularly tracing it back to its root cause. Besides that, we're also expecting the body of the next Super Duty to be hewn from aluminum, as is the case with its smaller brother, the brand-new F-150. Note the little aluminum droppings littering the roadway as apparent proof of that.
Our spy photographers report that it took just 21 minutes for the F-Series Super Duty to burn completely to the ground. The fire appears to have started in the driver-side front wheel well, spreading to engulf the entire front end in three minutes. We can't confirm the source of the blaze, but we're curious if the car's black vinyl cladding, meant to obscure the secrets within, contributed to the fire.
Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
