1932 Ford Truck Cab And Bed Rat Rod Hot Rod Project on 2040-cars
Richland, Indiana, United States
Up for sale is a 1932 Ford pick-up truck cab and bed. The cab is in pretty sold condition, there is rust damage along the bottom 4" of the door panels and lower inch of the cowl due to it sitting on the ground at some point in its 82 year old life. There is also some rust damage around the cowl air inlet but could be fixed or filled and one spot on each doors inner window post. Last bad thing would be the firewall that someone tried to make and replace a long time ago, just wasn't done right and would need redone. Other than those few fixable spots the trucks sheet-metal is really solid for being a '32. I would be glad to send pictures to anyone who would like to see these spots if contacted or any other place that isn't included in this post as I'm trying to describe it as best as possible.
The doors beside the bottoms and little spot on the upper window post, they are very solid, along with the cowl, an un-dented roof, back of the cab, and visor. The bed picture also comes with it. It would make a decent rat rod bed if cut to length with new front posts. The picture should show pretty much what is there and what isn't on it. If not, ask me for a picture of what you'd like to see and I'll get it to you as soon as possible. I DO have a title from the state of kentucky that is for the 32 ford truck. Any question please call 812-393-0145 or 812-686-7531. Can also ask questions on here and I will get back with you as quick as possible. Buyer is responsible for picking up and paying for shipping. |

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Long winter means most automakers won't curb summer shutdown
Sun, 18 May 2014A lot more happened during this latest brutal winter than days of snow and Netflix binges. Automotive sales took a battering. After all, going out car shopping when it's eleventy-billion degrees below zero isn't a good time.
Because of this Old Man Winter-induced sales slump, inventories are abnormally high as we head into the summer car buying season. That's led some analysts to predict that automakers will be more inclined to idle factories this summer, in a bid to trim some of the built-up inventory. Traditionally, American manufacturers offer up a two-week break in the middle of summer, although the burgeoning sales of the past few years have seen this practice become less popular.
"We're likely not going to see an acceleration this year," Jeff Schuster, a senior vice president at LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. "We'll see production increases in 'pockets' but I don't know if it will be as widespread as in recent years."
