Body:  A original 31 roadster cowl. Truck has Brookville doors. Extended cab box. The truck was channeled 4 inches which gives it that wicked stance and looks sinister sitting still or flying by. Custom BF Avery Model A grill shell. Don't let size fool you. I am not a short guy and I sit comfortably in this rod. This rod was built by a local well known custom shop and no corners were cut in creating this work of art. Paint is two tone with a shiny top and hot rod Flatz lower middle. So close you will need to look twice. Not primer paint. Beautifully pinstriped throughout the body- again you will have to look twice.

Interior:  Has a Crafty B dash and shifter. Has classic instrument gauges and they all work as they should. Bomber style seats with cushions and a steel floor. Gauge cluster is custom with pinstriping on inside doors. Tall shifter to give you that sinister look while banging through your 5 speed. Look closely at pictures and videos - you will continue to see one more cool thing every time.

Engine: 1969 block 383 with a 4 bolt main. 400 crank 30 over with Edelbrock heads. Which also includes Edelbrock intake and carbs. Full hydraulic roller and a Joe Hunt electronic distributor /mag. Edelbrock finned valve covers over and overflow and the motor is polished out to the max. A real diamond look next to the black finish.

Transmission: GM 5 speed. Yup 5 gears in this bad boy for you to enjoy. The rear end is a Currie 9 inch ford sporting a 355 posi.  on Dayton wire wheels.

Frame:  Riley Automotive frame. Z'd 8 inches in the rear and 4 inches in the front. So-Cal drilled Axel. Pete and Jakes components 40 Ford brakes with Buick drums and Crafty B brake covers. All stainless brake lines. Frame is painted and the under side of this rod looks as nice as the chrome on the top side. No corners cut.

Truly folks we can do this for days. Look at pictures watch the videos. This truck has countless local awards will always draw a crowd in my town or yours every time.

What more can I say?  Bid away!  I am moving on to my next build. Loved this rod for over 2000 miles now it's your turn.

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.

Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.

As US exports top 2 million, is America becoming the world's source of cheap cars?

Mon, Feb 9 2015

North American auto production is booming with 2014 figures just shy of the of the 17.3-million vehicle record set in 2000. With more models being built on the continent, even more are being shipped overseas. Factories in the US exported 2.1 million cars last year – the highest number ever. About half of those went to Canada and Mexico, but more than ever have been heading to places like the Middle East and China. The upswing comes in part from from after-effects from the Great Recession, according to The Wall Street Journal. With a weak dollar and lower production costs after the financial crisis, building vehicles in the US was relatively cheaper and more competitive in the world. At the same time buyers around the world are going crazy for crossovers. According to the WSJ, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are already exporting the majority of their US production of these models overseas. Both automakers have also announced investments to expand production further here to send more vehicles abroad. Even Honda has been shipping more models out of the country than it imported here. There is a concern this international strength could start slowing because the dollar is strengthening against other currencies, though it's too early to know what the actual effect of this could be, according to the WSJ. "Of course, we closely watch currency exchange, but we don't make changes in production or allocation based on temporary fluctuations in the exchange rate," Ford North American boss Joe Hinrichs told the newspaper.
