VERY NICE 31 FORD PICK UP THAT WAS YEARS AGO CONVERTED TO A CONVERTABLE. THE BUILDER WANTED A ROADSTER PICK UP BUT AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW A REAL 31 ROADSTER PICK UP HAS NO WINDOWS AND HE WANTED WINDOWS SO HE COULD GET MORE DRIVING TIME IN IT. THEREFORE HE MADE HIS OWN CONVERTABLE, A GREAT JOB TOO. THE TOP UNSNAPS AND JUST FOLDS DOWN, OR YOU CAN JUST UNZIP THE BACK WINDOW AND PUSH OUT THE WINDSHIELD AND GET LOTS OF AIR THAT WAY, YOUR CHOICE.

THE DRIVE TRAIN IS A CHEVY 350 ENGINE WITH A SMALL CAM THAT RUNS VERY WELL AND THE TRANS IS THE OLD RELIABLE 350 TURBO. DROPPED AXLE FRONT END WITH A CHEVY REAR END. HAS ALMOST NEW VINTIQUE WHEELS AND THE TIRES ARE ALSO LIKE NEW.

THE BODY AND RUNNING BOARDS ARE STEEL AND THE FENDERS ARE FIBERGLASS. THE REAR BODY IS HOME MADE BUT LOOKS LIKE A FACTORY JOB, EVEN HAS THE RIVETS HOLDING IT TOGETHER LIKE A FACTORY BODY. HAS A NICE WOOD FLOOR AND A NICE WOODEN BOX IN THE BACK WHICH HAS THE BATTERY AND A SMALL STORAGE PLACE. THERE IS A CUSTOM TORNO COVER THAT MATCHES THE TOP WHICH SNAPS TO THE BED AND COVERS IT COMPLETELY TO KEEP THINGS DRY OR HIDDEN THAT GOES WITH THE TRUCK.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL MARC FOR MORE INFO  207-252-4581  HAD TO RELIST THE TRUCK DUE TO A MIX UP WITH THE BUYER ,    MARC

Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.

Ford car-camo artist works his craft on Australia's new Falcon XR8

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Ford is among the kings of concealment when it comes to test cars. On one recent Mustang SVT mule, the automaker went to the extreme of putting baffles over the exhausts to hide how many there were. Sounds like a lot of work, right? In a new video, the Blue Oval has decided to take fans behind the scenes to show them what it takes to camouflage a prototype. In this case the subject was the recently unveiled 2014 Falcon XR8 for Australia.
Ford's prototype build coordinator Down Under has the very appropriate name of Neil Trickey, and it's his job to obfuscate the important bits of test cars to keep them out of spy shooters' camera lenses. Trickey calls his job a "dark art," and he shows off some of the tricks of his trade in the video. It turns out that the fabric we often see on mules is a type of lycra, but his team isn't above getting out a can of spray paint to conceal parts, too.
Scroll down to watch a video about a man who you probably wish could be a little worse at his job.
