1989 Ford Mustang GT that is in awesome condition. Paint is new within the past 5 years and is in great shape.  Only small areas of surface rust underneath.

Engine:
5.0 with Paxton Supercharger, Trickflow aluminum heads and intake.  f303 cam. Harland Sharp Roller Rockers. MSD 6BTM with 7k rev limiter. 65mm BBK throttle body. BBK equal length headers. 24lb/hr Injectors with matched MAF.  New alternator, battery, power steering pump, Dist cap, ignition module.

Bottom end is built to handle the power, but specific component details in unknown.  Engine was built with a new block by previous owner.  Less than 4,000 miles on engine.  Over $7,000 in engine build.

T5 Transmission, Aluminum driveshaft, 4.10 Gears

6 point roll cage. Subframe connectors, driveshaft hoop. Previous owner cut out cross bar from roll cage so he could recline seat further.  I can include an extra bar with the car.  It would need to be welded in for the car to meet NHRA regulations.  Drivers side door bar does swing out, and can be removed easily for convenience when street driving.

Previous owner had hood come up while going down the drag strip.  I added hood pins to prevent this.  It caused damage to cowl and cracked paint on hood.  I replaced windshield wiper mechanism and plastic grill. The metal portions of the cowl still have some dents which can be seen in the pics.  There is no windshield washer squirter.  Just the piece that snaps into the plastic grill is missing.

$500 deposit is required to hold the car.  $200 of that is non-refundable.

Ford cuts 950 Russian jobs on weak demand

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

The Russian auto market, in decline for the past year and further hit by the declining value of the ruble and recent sanctions over its annexation of Crimea, has forced Ford to cut jobs and shifts at two of its joint venture plants there. Around 700 of the 2,700 total workers who build the Russian-market Focus and Mondeo will be cut at the plant in Vsevolozhsk, near St. Petersburg as it drops to a single production shift. A second plant about 700 miles away in Yelabuga, in the Tartarstan region, will lose 250 workers. That plant builds seven vehicles, including the Explorer, Kuga and Edge.
The Moscow Times says Ford has been especially hit by the market decline, the overall market losing 5.5 percent in 2013 compared to the year before, but Ford sales dropping 18 percent in 2013 year-on-year. This year isn't going any better, with The Blue Oval posting a 21-percent decline through the first two months of 2014. That's why, though the Yelabuga plant builds the CUVs that customers are moving into, even it is facing cuts.
The job cuts in Vsevolozhsk come on top four-week plant shutdown planned so that the paint and body shops can go to one shift. In a statement, the company said, "Ford Sollers remains absolutely committed to the Russian market and is confident it has the right product plan, people and assets to deliver long-term profitable growth."

Watch live as Mark Fields is officially named Ford's next CEO

Thu, 01 May 2014

We've heard rumblings of a changing of the guard at Ford, and this live stream from The Blue Oval itself is set to confirm the rumors: Alan Mulally will be succeeded by the automaker's current Chief Operating Officer, Mark Fields.
Mulally, who is 68 years old, has served at the head of Ford for eight years, and his official retirement date will be July 1st, 2014. Fields, who is 53 this year, has been with Ford for 25 years and has been groomed to take the helm from Mulally for the last several of those years.
There's an official press release that you can read, but if you're more of a visual person, you're welcome to watch the live video feed of the announcement down below.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
