Price is bottom dollar. Last auction ended with 8600 views and 52 watchers and multiple people sending me messages on how awesome the car looks. I'm not going to take a penny less, I had 2 people locally come and look at it and both said that the car condition is completely accurate and the pictures do not fully do the car justice. I will assist meeting your freight hauler once the car is paid in full or if your somewhat local I can offer to drive the car or trailer the car for a fee.

I will consider a trade/cash for a 1997-2005 Jetta/Passat TDI or a 1970-1980 Corvette with T-tops/manual trans. OR Newer 5th Wheel Camper, I'm looking for something sub $7000 value or so for the TDI or Corvette.

The car is currently stored in the garage for the winter. Please do not compare this car with non premium packaged or base mustangs and has very low mileage. This car has all factory installed options (Nothing on this car is aftermarket or installed after) all items below are on the original window sticker. We are the original owners (Married Couple with Children), we bought it new from our local ford dealer almost 2 years ago.

It is still under the factory 3/36 warranty til next spring/summer.

Up for sale is our 2010 Ford Mustang Premium GT.
It is a:
4.6l V8 with 315hp
5 Speed Manual
Exterior: Grabber Blue with Factory Stripe Package
Interior: Factory Black Leather Seats with Blue Inserts
Power Windows, Mirrors, Seats
Heated Front Driver/Pass Seats/Mirrors
Auto Climate Controls
~8500 Miles on the car and always has been stored in a garage. Mileage will increase as the car is still being driven, as soon as the car is purchased it will be parked.

Has around $5000 in factory Options installed at factory over a regular mustang GT premium:
*External Appearance Package: Hood Scoop, Side Scoops, Quarter Window Panels, High Deck Spoiler, Black'end Grill, Over the Top Stripe kit and Side Stripes ($1470)
*HID Headlamps and Security Perimeter Alarm ($395 + $525)
*Interior Preimer Trim Group Accented Blue Stripe in seats, Aluminum Shift Knob, Aluminum Mustang Door Sills, ($395)
*19" Wheels with Summer Tires ($895)
*3.73 Rear w/ Limited Slip ($395)
*Comfort Group (Heated Seats, Autodim Mirror, Power Drivers/Pass Seats) ($595)

We are have 3 young kids now in our family and thus it is no longer practical. The car is as if you bought it off the showroom floor. We have looked over the whole car and do not see any dings or dents or scratches on the car. There is a few nicks in the front vinyl stripe where the license plate was. It was our baby and has had a pampered life. The MSRP new was around $37k. Oil was just changed approx 500 miles ago with Motorcraft Oil and Filter (Ford OEM parts).

We would prefer that it goes to a good home and will be driven more often than we have the time for with 3 young kids.

$500 Non Refundable Deposit Due via paypal at auction end. Final Balance due within 14 days of auction end via cash or bank check (Will need to clear before title is released, there is a small lien that will need to be paid off for the sale). Unless you email me 1st with other arrangements.

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.

Ford, Renault, VW shareholder oppose French aid for PSA/Peugeot-Citro"en

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

Pots and kettles, glass houses and stones - that's a little of what we appear to have going on in the European car market. New reports say that that three European automakers have registered their opposition to a loan deal that PSA/Peugeot-Citroën is working on with the French government. Peugeot's finance arm, Banque PSA Finance, is struggling with its debts and has been downgraded by Moody's to its lowest investment-grade classification, one step above junk. This makes it more expensive for a potential buyer to finance a car through Peugeot. The last thing Peugeot needs is more difficulty selling cars in the tough European market, and the situation will only worsen if the bank's credit worthiness takes another hit.
A deal being worked on would have the French government offer €7 billion ($9B U.S.) in bonds to guarantee the bank's loans, which would give the institution some breathing room to manage its debts and lower its interest rates. Outside of that, a group of banks would provide other, non-guaranteed loans to the bank to further help its position. In exchange for state help, though, the government wants seats on Peugeot's board for worker representatives and a government liaison, along with factory and worker guarantees. The Peugeot family would maintain control of the company.
So what we have is government assistance being provided to a car company's finance arm, akin to the way General Motors' GMAC (now Ally Financial) and Chrysler Financial got help in their time of need. What we also have is Ford and Renault, and Germany's State of Lower Saxony, the second-largest shareholder in Volkswagen, voicing their concern about the proposal, because they say it could create an unfair competitive advantage for Peugeot. Everyone in Europe's down market is fighting for every sale, and if Peugeot gets help to keep its auto loan costs down, it figures to help buyers choose Peugeot or Citroën.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
