This is your chance to own a one of a kind Shelby!

“This is the coolest and fastest muscle car I have ever driven”  -  Oriel Servia - Indy Car Driver - Sept 2013

This one of a kind Shelby is featured in the November 2013 5.0 Mustang magazine. Because of how rare
and fast this machine is, there is a 4 page spread highlighting every aspect of this vehicle.

When 850HP is just not enough, step up to the ultimate HP experience with up to 1100 tire shredding
HP. This monster is one of a kind. The Shelby team and the Team from Evolution Performance, spent
hundreds of hours to provide unparalleled performance. Engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, cooling
systems and driveline have all received substantial modifications to ensure the ultimate driving
experience. Purposely understated for the ultimate sleeper, this is the "next one" as Carroll would
say…..and it is rebuilt from its bare bones into the most powerful, meanest, fire breathing beast to
ever come from the Shelby factory.

5.0 Mustang magazine has called this car “The Ultimate street Shelby”

The modifications were not just limted to the engine and tires. A safe, well-rounded car needs
suspension, and braking upgrades. Evolution turned to Koni and Steeda to glue the car to the road.

Meanwhile, Wilwood got the nod for huge stoppers, which were also part of the appearance upgrades
that accent the factory Deep Impact Blue with matte-black accents.

Though the centerpiece of this package is the first all black 3.6 liter Kenne Bell, the Evolution team
accented it nicely with a carbon-fiber radiator cover as well as a paint-matched JLT Super Big Air cold
air intake. Matte black overflow and intercooler tanks from Shelby Performance carry over the matte black
from the exterior and the carbon fiber engine caps from Shelby Performance tie it together.

“The grip from the wheels and tires is indescribable. You are thrust back into the seat, the car lays low,
grips the road, and goes straight. There is no fishtailing. It’s like a giant cat extending its claws, gripping,
and then, in a single leap jumping over a football field.”  -  Dr Kim Hammond

Ford predicts it will finish 2013 as top-selling US brand

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Ford is ready to call the ball on its 2013 sales totals, predicting a first-place finish for units sold in the US for a single brand. The company anticipates selling more than 2.4 million vehicles when all vehicle sales over the last 12 months have been tallied, repeating the victory it trumpeted over Toyota last year.
According to Ford's accounting, it sold 329,677 more vehicles than did Toyota in 2012. This year, the Blue Oval expects that margin to grow; through the end of November, Ford says it has outsold Toyota by 396,041 units.
Retail sales of Ford products are projected to exceed 1.7 million units for 2013 (the best retail result in 6 years for the company), with passenger cars accounting for 600k of that total. The redesigned Fusion is expected to crest the 290k mark, and the Fiesta is said to be ready to hit a model-record of 70k-plus. Meanwhile, utility vehicles and trucks are still paying a lot of bills in Dearborn, with the new Escape racking up an expected 300k sales and F-Series trucks chugging along at 688,810 units sold thru November.

Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.

Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.
