For all you Mustang Lovers out there, this is a very clean, tight, good running 5 speed 1997 Mustang. 3.8 liter V6, 5 speed, cold air, power windows, power door locks, cruise, power drivers seat, factory radio (ugh), cloth interior, alloy wheels, rear deck spoiler. Look closely at the pictures and you will see nice sheet metal with little fatigue and only a couple of dings showing. Looks to be all original Bright Amber Metallic paint. I do not see any signs of body work or paint work, but you be the judge of that. There are some scuffs and such on the bumpers and curb rash on the alloy wheels. Interior is clean for it's age with solid carpeting. A good weekend cleaning would do wonders.
She runs strong and is tight. I've bought and sold a lot of Mustangs through the years, and like any car with age you can tell when they are tired. This one is not. Pulls strong clutch feels solid, solid suspension, Come give it a test drive.
The odometer shows 78000 miles but alas like all Mustangs in and around the late 90's the odo is no longer working. I am selling the car TMU. The mileage has already been exempted on the Georgia title.
There are a few upgrades that would really enhance this car.
Wheels and Tires. The factory 15 inch alloys are in good shape with 2 fair tires and 2 good tires and some curb rash, but 15 inch wheels on a Mustang?
Headlights. In fair shape and functional, but these original polycarbonate lenses are tired. There are a lot of nice headlight upgrades on ebay.
Radio. It's the factory original. Works intermittently includes cassette player.
Tail Lights. Factory original. Right side is cracked. Lot's of upgrades available on ebay.

Ford shows off V8-powered Ranger headed to Dakar Rally
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Avert your eyes now if you're jealous that the global version of the Ford Ranger is not offered in the US. Ford's midsize pickup is being tuned up to take on the 2014 Dakar Rally, and the result is a truck that is probably even cooler than any F-150 SVT Raptor we've ever seen in the States. Ford is actually building two versions of the truck for Dakar, which will run from January 5 through January 18, covering more than 5,000 miles from Argentina to Chile.
Starting with a fully composite body and a 5.0-liter V8 plucked from a Mustang, nearly every aspect of the trucks have been purpose built to take on the grueling race. This includes things like the six-speed sequential gearbox, liquid-cooled rear brakes and the 132-gallon fuel tank. As proof that Dakar is more about endurance than speed, the engines used in these race trucks will be limited to around 350 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and will max out at a top speed of just 105 miles per hour. Scroll down for Ford's official press release offering more information about the trucks and teams being prepped for Dakar.
Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.
Mustang retakes monthly pony car sales crown from Camaro
Wed, Dec 3 2014Going back to their origins in the Swinging '60s, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been fierce rivals for fans' hearts and dollars. Historically, the Ford often led in volume, but Chevy took the muscle car top spot in 2009 upon the Camaro's rebirth. However, with the launch of the latest Blue Oval pony car, the tide is turning back in Ford's favor. November was the first full month of sales for the new 2015 Mustang, and according to TheDetroitBureau.com, the model did spectacularly well. The Blue Oval shifted 8,728 of them, up 62 percent from same month last year, with the automaker proclaiming it the model's best November sales since 2006. Conversely, 4,385 units of the Camaro were delivered, down 13.5 percent year-over-year, meaning its sales were roughly half that of the new-generation Mustang. Ford is understandably happy with the results, and product development director Raj Nair even hinted to TDB that another version of the Mustang might be unveiled at January's North American International Auto Show. Rumor has it that the model will be the even more potent Shelby Mustang GT350R. Despite the Mustang's November success, the Camaro outsells it year to day. So far in 2014, Ford has sold 73,124 Mustangs versus 79,669 examples of the Camaro. With December offering the last chance for an overtake, the Bowtie may yet remain king for this year's sales crown. A new Camaro is peeking over the horizon, as well. It's reportedly moving to the Alpha platform used by the Cadillac ATS, and production could start in late 2015. Prototypes are already testing at the Nurburgring, and camouflaged examples have been spotted weirdly being compared to its '80s forefather.
