I don't usually take trade ins.. but I changed my mind quick when I saw this super clean and solid 1965 Ford Mustang with 4 Speed and Air Conditioning... it has great original looking paint with just a nick here and there.. small scrape over one back wheel well and a chip on bottom of door but thats about it.. with the stick shift its a blast to drive.. everything works as it should.. starts right up.. accelorates like a bat out of hell, great steering and shifting and braking... beautiful black interior and headliner and dash.. small tear on driving seat getting fixed this week and one door panel need to be clipped back on properly... True mileage unknown, and little to no rust is apparent... more details:
Strong running 289 V8 (not sure if matching) RUNS GREAT and FAST!!! fires right up and sounds powerful with headers and new muffers and chrome tips... great response.. Motor has custom look Air Cleaner Scoop.. it's an AC car.. Compressor works , it blows but not super cold.. will have a look to fix that soon also, but if not, you should have no problem... The car has new 68 mustang-looking wheels with beauty rims and caps.. and newer tires with lots of tread left...
The paint on the car appears to look like original and correct color.. but after almost 50 years, I'd guess it's been painted at least once, but hard to tell from original .. I'd own and drive the car as is.. even with the minor imperfections... but you can paint again someday after you have your fun to make it perfect if you want... The glass and trim is all excellent... Chrome is bright and almost new appearing.. has chrome mud flaps in the back, has the original radio in the dash, but a newer modern stereo in the glove box.. no leaks that we can tell of... my mechanic loves this car.. and says besides tuning up the AC, it's ready to go !!!!
I know they made a millon of these mustangs.. it was one of the most popular cars and models of all time..but this thing is one of the nicest i have ever driven in a very long time.. it's turn key.. just buy it and enjoy it and then sell it some day for a nice profit !!!
Please note, I am a boutique classic car dealer in Nevada, so any Nevada residents who purchase this car to register in Nevada will need to pay a 8.1 % Nevada sales tax and a $99 documentation fee... but I have taken this into consideration in the great-value pricing of this car.
Come to Vegas to party and drive home an incredible vehicle that is quite a lot of class, fun and quality for the money ! Best, Steve in Las Vegas cell 213 500 8619

Nuclear-powered concept cars from the Atomic Age
Thu, 17 Jul 2014In the 1950s and early 60s, the dawn of nuclear power was supposed to lead to a limitless consumer culture, a world of flying cars and autonomous kitchens all powered by clean energy. In Europe, it offered the then-limping continent a cheap, inexhaustible supply of power after years of rationing and infrastructure damage brought on by two World Wars.
The development of nuclear-powered submarines and ships during the 1940s and 50s led car designers to begin conceptualizing atomic vehicles. Fueled by a consistent reaction, these cars would theoretically produce no harmful byproducts and rarely need to refuel. Combining these vehicles with the new interstate system presented amazing potential for American mobility.
But the fantasy soon faded. There were just too many problems with the realities of nuclear power. For starters, the powerplant would be too small to attain a reaction unless the car contained weapons-grade atomic materials. Doing so would mean every fender-bender could result in a minor nuclear holocaust. Additionally, many of the designers assumed a lightweight shielding material or even forcefields would eventually be invented (they still haven't) to protect passengers from harmful radiation. Analyses of the atomic car concept at the time determined that a 50-ton lead barrier would be necessary to prevent exposure.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
Bill Ford augments his power by nearly doubling stake of supervoting shares
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Bill Ford Jr. has more sway than ever over the automaker that bears his surname, as the great-grandson of Ford's founder has reportedly doubled is holdings of Class B Ford stock. According to a report from Reuters (which cites a newly discovered securities filing), he acquired some 3.7 million Class B shares from an unnamed family member.
Class B shares of Ford stock are held by descendants of Henry Ford and offer expanded voting power to their holders - Bill Ford Jr. now controls roughly 11.5 percent of the total Class B pool. Ford Jr. is also a one of five trustees that manage a voting trust that oversees the majority of these "supervoting" shares. In total, Reuters reports there are 71 million Class B shares that account for 40 percent of the voting power in the company, despite making up just 2 percent of the total volume of all Ford stock.
Ford Jr. served as Ford's CEO until 2006, when he stepped down to hire and make space for current CEO, Alan Mulally. The move to consolidate Ford family voting power, at least somewhat, is seen by many as a comforting sign with Mulally's departure from the company likely to happen in the next several years.
