2009 Ford Mustang Gt 69 Mach I 40th Anniversary Tribute 4.6 5 Spd. R Title on 2040-cars
Bellwood, Pennsylvania, United States
This car has a reconstructed title, if that bothers you stop here and move on, I'm not hiding anything. I did this car for my wife and she doesn't drive it much at all, she said she would rather have a new kitchen than this car, so we are selling it to fund that project. It is a 2009 Mustang GT in red as you can see, it has 13k miles 4.6, 5 spd. The only mods done are a Hurst short throw shifter and Flowmaster axle back exhaust. We did our own 1969 Mach I 40th anniversary/tribute by adding a real 69 Mach I strip kit, roof emblems, side marker lights and an original 69 Mach hood scoop with the turn signals and all. This car has a reconstructed title as I stated due to a front end collision that deployed the air bags, all of that has been repaired and it's hard to tell it's been wrecked. It was put on a laser alignment frame machine and pulled into spec. I have had, bought, sold and repaired many rebuildable salvage cars and have not had a problem, my daughter is driving an R title Scion now. If knowing this car has been wrecked bothers you I suggest you look for another one that may or may not have been wrecked depending on what the seller tells you, I don't hide it. This car is clean runs and drives very nice, there are two things I know of that need fixed, the cruise control isn't working, and the pass seat stopped moving, I haven't looked to see what's up with either one, I will try to take a look before the auction ends but no promises. I'm starting this auction below rough trade in price, save money on this one it looks like 20k but won't cost you near that much. Any questions /concerns message me or call 814-329-2909.
On Oct-21-13 at 19:28:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The pass. seat has been repaired, hopefully will get to the cruise before the auction ends. |

European jury picks finalists for 2015 Car of the Year
Tue, Dec 16 2014There are countless Car of the Year awards handed out each year, and naturally, Europe has its own way of doing things. Every year, a panel of jurists representing seven publications in seven different languages and seven different countries get together to name their joint Car of the Year. The panel released a list of 32 candidates back in July, and it has now whittled that list down to seven nominees. The list consists of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, the Citroen C4 Cactus (shown), the Ford Mondeo, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Nissan Qashqai, the Renault Twingo and the Volkswagen Passat. Of those seven, only two are available in the US – those being the Mondeo (sold Stateside as the Fusion) and the C-Class. The Passat is an entirely different model in North America, the Qashqai isn't offered here, Citroen and Renault don't even participate in our market and the BMW 2 Series is represented here only by the completely different coupe and convertible. Expect the one and only recipient of the 2015 Car of the Year award to be announced at the Geneva Motor Show this coming March, and while you're waiting, you can place your guesses for the eventual winner in Comments. 2015 Ford Focus sedan shows its fresh face in New York
Wed, 16 Apr 2014That handsome fellow you see above is the 2015 Ford Focus sedan. We liked the looks of the 2014 Focus, and the updates for 2015 only improve things to our eyes, with the adoption of the Aston Martin-inspired grille that has been permeating Ford's lineup these last few years. Sweeping, slightly bulbous headlamps join a revised, more demure lower grille opening to round out the styling updates up front. The rest of the car's look is just slightly massaged, including new taillamp clusters that look much like they did last year.
New for 2015 is the availability of Ford's 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. There's also a new SE Sport Package that adds more aggressive suspension tuning, paddle shifters (when equipped with Ford's six-speed dual-clutch automatic) and a few body kit bits and pieces. Rounding out the mechanical changes are an updated electronic steering rack that promises better feel, suspension tweaks to make the ride more comfortable and some software updates designed to make the dual-clutch gearbox better behave itself.
In addition, inside there are a few interior upgrades, as well as some added comfort and safety tech that includes available blind-spot detection and lane-keeping assist, along with other more incremental changes that all add up to a better vehicle. We suggest you check out the official press release below for all the details, but not before scrolling through our image gallery of live shots above.
Ford will build Hackmobile out of Transit Connect Wagon
Fri, 27 Dec 2013What you see in the above image is a rendering of the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon. What is that? It's a "mobile fabrication and hacking unit" that includes tools for metal- and woodworking, 3D and electronics fabrication, a three-axis CNC machine called "The Fabber," a video projector and screen, an air compressor, an 84x48-inch work surface that folds out like a Murphy bed and oh so much more. When not in use, all of the implements fold neatly into the back of Ford's award-winning van.
But perhaps the more important question is why is that? Because Make Magazine held an Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge in conjunction with Ford in which ten teams created were charged with creating "the ultimate Ford Transit Connect Wagon for the do-it-yourself enthusiast." Team Twin Cities Maker won the competition with the Hackmobile, and in addition to winning $10,000, Ford has declared it's actually going to build the thing - which is great, because if they can actually engineer a road-legal Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon as envisioned, the inevitable A-Team movie reboot might need to think about including it.
Check out the video below for a cheeky walk-through of the Hackmobile, and get all the particulars in the press release below that.
