2008 Ford Mustang on 2040-cars

Send me an email at: sybleschmoldt@juno.com .
First and foremost, I do not care what so and so has his/her Shelby for sale for. I have my reasons and the car
has its reasons why I believe the car is worth slightly more than an average GT500. This car is literally an
investment for someone that truly understands that this is Not the average Shelby. It's super low miles, it is a
certified hand signed car by Carroll and I have the certificate of authenticity from Shelby American. It is also
the last production # gt500 for 2008 and is the last production # gt500 in torch red for both coupe and verts for
2008. Usually a first and last prod # specialty Vehicle bring more $ down the road. With the super low mileage,
it being hand signed, and being the last production #, I don't doubt it will be worth $ later. This vehicle is
in exceptional condition as it should be with only 8,000 original miles. It still smells new inside, no wear marks
on any of the seats or on the steering wheel.
*NOTE TO BUYER:
The buy it now price of $45k is me leaving all the mods on it as well as all stock parts that came off of it.
Anything less than buy it now, the car will come completely stock. I am however, more than happy to accept offers
and am more than willing to work with a serious buyer as far as selling price with or without the mods.
2008 Shelby GT500 mod list as it currently sits:
*JLT 123mm cold air kit
*VMP 2.5 upper pulley
*VMP 90mm idler
*Metco auxillary idler kit
*Roush stock look intercooler reservoir.
*Reische 170 degree t-stat
*NGK TR6 plugs, gapped at 0.32
*JBA off-road x-pipe (No cats)
*Flowmaster midpipes & axleback exhaust
*SCT X-4 handheld programmer with custom tunes from VMP. It has never been on a dyno, but my last GT500 with
similar mods made 618 rwhp. Only difference between them is a 10% overdrive lower was on my other GT500 and this
red one still has the stock lower on it. I do believe that this car is certainly in the 575-585 rwhp range.
*Vossen CV-7 wheels in matte graphite finish (blends in well with the lower splitter, rocker panels, and rear
diffuser). 20x9 fronts
20x10.5 rears
Nitto Invo tires (appx 3,500 miles on both wheels & tires)
*Stock set of wheels/tires are included with only 6k miles on them.
*Factory ambient lighting package
*Shaker 500 stereo
*I DO NOT need help selling this vehicle. I do not wish to be contacted by dealers, employees of dealers,
advertising agencies, or any kind of third parties wanting to sell the vehicle for me.

Feds looking into Ford Explorer exhaust leak complaints
Fri, 20 Jun 2014There may be a burgeoning problem with exhaust leaks in the 2011-2014 model year Ford Explorer. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is examining multiple complaints of a gasoline smell in the cabin of these SUVs. However, the exact cause of this problem is still unknown.
"The agency is reviewing all available data and will take appropriate action as warranted," said a NHTSA spokesperson in an email to Automotive News. Owners seem to generally complain on the regulator's website of the smell entering the cabin through the air vents. At this time, the government organization has not yet opened an official investigation into the problem, though. When it does begin inspecting vehicles, NHTSA posts a detailed breakdown of its public data online.
Similar problems have been reported about the Explorer in the past, though. In 2013, Ford issued a recall for the 2013 model year of the SUV due to a fuel leak that could cause drivers to smell a gasoline odor and repaired them again later for another possible leak. In response to Autoblog's questions, Ford responded via email: "We are not aware of a NHTSA investigation. We are currently reviewing the case and in the event that any action is required, we will address it promptly."
Ford's first PHEV in Europe could be C-Max
Fri, Oct 17 2014Ford could start selling a plug-in hybrid in Europe pretty soon, according to at least one of its executives. Whether it's willing to do so is another story. But if the market perks up, so will the company. The automaker can "quickly" develop a plug-in hybrid version of its Mondeo, the sister car to the Ford Fusion, Automotive News Europe says, citing Ford executive Uli Koesters. The subject of Ford selling plug-in hybrids in Europe is more vital than ever since Volkswagen recently started selling its first PHEV (a Golf) there. VW will also debut a Passat PHEV next year. Koesters was less certain about whether there was sufficient European demand to warrant a production PHEV from Ford. Europe's biggest-selling plug-in hybrid through the first half of the year was the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. That model, according to JATO Dynamics, moved almost 9,000 units through June. Toyota sold almost 4,300 Prius Plug-in Hybrids in Europe during that time period. And we can't be sure Ford's first European PHEV will be the Modeo/Fusion, either. In fact, Ford's first plug-in hybrid for Europe is more likely to be the C-Max, John Gardiner, a Ford spokesman in Europe, told AutoblogGreen. He would only say that it would be sold "in selected markets soon," without being more specific. Ford's two PHEVs in the US have been selling well this year. Through September, sales of the Fusion Energi PHEV almost tripled to 9,323 units, while Ford C-Max Energi PHEV sales were up 51 percent to 6,486 units.
What next for Alan Mulally?
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Alan Mulally has emerged as a hero when it comes to American manufacturing. He came to Ford in 2006 after serving as head of Boeing's commercial aircraft division, streamlined operations, sold off the costly elements of its Premier Automotive Group and saved Ford from having to be bailed out by the federal government like its cross-town rivals Chrysler and General Motors did. But as we reported mere days ago, he's widely expected to step down from the chief executive's office at Ford shortly.
So what's next for one of the most successful executives in the business? Hard to say, but don't expect Mulally to disappear into retirement. Though he didn't ultimately take the top job at Microsoft, industry insiders expect to see him in another influential position - likely as a board director or even chairman of another company. (We say "another company" and not Ford because while Bill Ford may have stepped aside as CEO to bring Mulally on board in the first place, we don't see him giving up his chairmanship of the board also.)
Mulally has likely already lined up his next move, and could either announce what that move will be as soon as Ford confirms Mark Fields as his successor, or could wait awhile. Insiders speculate that he could leverage his transportation and aerospace experience into a position at General Electric or a major airline, his manufacturing expertise to benefit a company like Procter & Gamble or his management skills at a consultancy firm.
