2007 Ford Mustang on 2040-cars
Comstock, Texas, United States
Nice clean 2007 Ford Mustang GT with 4.6L V8 engine mated to 5 speed It's harder to find GTs with a manual tranny. It's a funcar and has tremendous power. I purchased it last year and was my daily driverfor several months. My husband bought me a BMW so I'm selling this. When itarrived last year the Borla exhaust was very noisy since the were deleted. In addition, the engine light was on since the rearoxygen sensors were disconnected. The gas mileage was really bad. We had thestock down pipe with catalytic converters reinstalled and installed new oxygensensors. It still has the Borla midpipe and mufflers. Now, it still has a goodrumble but no engine light and much better gas mileage now. Also, the driverpower seat wasn't working. So instead of changing the motor we found blackleather seats and replaced both front cloth seats. Now the driver power seatworks. However, we accidentally tripped the airbag sensor so it just needs to bereset. The rear leather seats are not included, since they were not yetinstalled. (still has cloth rear seats). If you're interested in the rearleather seats let me know. Also the radio CD player wasn't working and theantenna was broken so we replaced both and both work great now. The driver andpassenger door trim was also sagging which you can see in the photos and iscommon on these cars. So we replaced the door trim with plastic inserts. It wasa bit of work to get the old glue off but it looks good now.

This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch
Tue, 16 Jul 2013A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.
2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium
Mon, 28 Oct 2013You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.
