2006 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 (06-0667)
I love my beautiful car and sad to see it sell, but I simply don't have the room. The pictures don't do it justice!
This car shining in the sun is absolutely beautiful! This is a rarely seen Saleen, it stays in the garage and only
driven on beautiful days. No Modifications, very reliable and fun to drive! This is originally a California car,
which means it has never seen snow; since moving to Indiana it has been in a garage for all rain and snow!
I want any potential buyer to feel confident in purchasing this car. We can always FaceTime or video chat. I can
let you hear the awesome exhaust and give you a 360 view of the car, inside and out.
NADA Book Value $35,500 (Since owning this car the value continues going up.)
66,464 Miles (Since owning the car I have put just over 6,800 miles on it.)
Exterior: Torch Red / Interior: Dark Charcoal Leather
4.6L 3V SOHC V8 Engine
5 Speed Manual Transmission
330 HP Engine / 430 ft. lbs Torque
Numbered car: #667
Comes with Saleen Floor Mats, Saleen Car Cover and Original Window Sticker
This car is registered with Saleen Owner's Registry with a letter of authenticity signed by Steve Saleen.
This particular Saleen is 1 of 49 with these exact colors and options.
Title clean and own free and clear
Paint is rust free
There are a few minor issues I want any potential buyer to be aware of. They are all shown in the photos attached.
The back bumper has a scratch going down the bumper by the letter "L" with two small chips (from the previous
owner). The front rocker panel (behind the driver wheel) has some clear coat peeling. The driver front seat has
normal wear, but it also has what looks like small specks of white pant. I asked the previous owner about this and
he said he didn't realize, until it was dried, that he had accidentally got paint on the seat. I never worried
about getting it off and to me it wasn't an issue I worried about. Also, the back seat has a small hole in the
leather, again from the previous owner. Like I mentioned, none of these issues bothered me because when you look
at the car the flaws aren't what shine.
Don't miss out on an opportunity to have, "Power in the Hands of a Few"

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
UPDATE: Substituted clearer image - thanks, Sean!

Ken Block walks you through his new 'Hoonigan Racing' HQ

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

Ken Block seems like one hell of a nice guy. I ran into him at CES this past January, and he dropped the video games he was playing to chat with me for a while. His crew also recently gave our Steve Ewing a tour of the offices you're about to see on this video. Good guy to know.
As it turns out, they're some fairly cool new digs. Dubbed 'Hoonigan Racing Division HQ,' the office is open to Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST owners who attend the driving program offered out at Miller Motorsports Park. The very same program that Ewing reported on just recently.
Or, if you've no plans to buy an ST or travel to Utah any time soon, you can let Block show you around himself in this MTV Cribs-style video. With interior decorating that relies heavily on shipping containers and luxurious amenities like a ping pong table, 10 refrigerators and a bear(?), there's no lack of eye-candy in the driverly HQ. (Judging by Block's outfit, you'll probably not go thirsty if you're a Monster drinker, either.) Take the tour along with the Gymkhana master, below.
