See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Car is in excellent condition with only 3 very minor exterior cosmetic imperfections: 1. a very fine scratch on the rear bumper. 2. a little "smudge" in the paint on the hood smaller than a quarter 3. a small scrape in the racing stripe above the trunk that you can see in the photo that shows the gas cap badge. There are no other dents or damage and the original paint is still glossy. The leather of the driver's seat shows some wear but is intact and in good condition. It is just dulled a bit."

This 2006 Southern California Special edition (SCS) was limited to only 600 V6 Mustangs. The SCS includes 9" silver racing stripes, chrome exhaust tips, Pony package (with 17 inch painted aluminum wheels, GT rear wing spoiler, fog lamps, ABS/Traction control, GT shocks, swaybar, and steering gear), special California edition "gas cap" badge, interior upgrade package (My Color Dash illumination, Chrome trim accents), power driver's seat, and Shaker 500 audio system.

The car has 90,800 mostly freeway miles with 1 female owner since 2007. It has been well maintained with no accidents. This pony is very rare and I've never seen another one like it. I couldn't find one for sale or sold anywhere online to compare it to.

This car runs perfectly. I am selling because my employer gave me a new company car. I will miss this one. People stop me all the time to admire this Mustang.

Clean title and smog certificate (easily passed this week).

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.

Ford F-150 pulls semi truck through snow-clogged Chicago streets

Wed, Feb 4 2015

Earlier this week, the Midwest was crippled by a massive snowstorm that dumped a foot or more of powder in some areas. The result was, of course, transportation gridlock. It's a fortunate thing for this stranded semi-truck driver, then, that a Ford F-150 EcoBoost stumbled upon him. Despite a tow rating of just over 11,000 pounds, the four-wheel-drive, turbocharged pickup managed to dislodge the big rig from a snow-covered street. Of course, the Ford didn't get the semi moving all on its own – watch the video towards the end and the semi was quite clearly spinning its rear tires. Still, it's an impressive feat that we've little doubt F-Series fans are celebrating. Related video:

Foreign automakers pay from $38 to $65 per hour to non-union workers

Sun, Mar 29 2015

As leaders for the United Auto Workers gather in Detroit for their Special Convention on Collective Bargaining to work out the negotiating stance for this year's new labor agreements with the Detroit 3 automakers, what they most want to do is figure out how to eliminate the two-tier wage scale. However, the lower Tier 2 wage has allowed the domestic automakers to reduce their labor costs, hire more workers, and compete better with their import competition. As it stands, per-hour labor rates including benefits are $58 at General Motors, $57 at Ford, and $48 at Fiat-Chrysler – a reflection of FCA's much greater number of Tier 2 workers. The Center for Automotive Research released a study of labor rates (including benefits) that put numbers to what the imports pay: Mercedes-Benz pays the most, at an average of $65 per hour, Volkswagen pays the least, at $38 per hour, and BMW is just a hair above that at $39 per hour. Among the Detroit competitors, Honda workers earn an average of $49 per hour, at Toyota it's $48 per hour, Nissan is $42 per hour, and Hyundai-Kia pays $41 per hour. The lower import wages are aided by their greater use of temporary workers compared to the domestics. Automotive News says the ten-dollar gap between those foreign camakers and the domestics turns out to about an extra $250 per car in labor, which adds up quickly when you're pumping out many millions of cars. That $250-per-car number is one that, come negotiating time, the Detroit 3 will want to reduce, as the UAW is trying to raise both Tier 1 and Tier 2 wages. Another wrinkle is that the domestic carmakers are considering the wide adoption of a third wage level lower than Tier 2. Some workers who do minor tasks like assembling parts trays kits and battery packs already make less than Tier 2, but the UAW will be quite wary about cementing yet another wage scale at the bottom of the system while it's trying to fight a bigger battle at the top.
