This 2004 Mustang Cobra convertible (mystic chrome color) is in very good mechanical and overall condition - it looks and runs excellent and gets many complements (some minor chips / nicks). I don't have a lot of history with this vehicle, but what I was told when I purchased it is that the vehicle had been stolen in Michigan at one point and the motor and transmission were removed. They were replaced with a new 2001 Cobra crate motor and 5 speed transmission. The work was professionally done and the vehicle runs great. The vehicle was given a control number by the State of Michigan (see photo - control # 047466. The door was tagged with the following VIN # MI0199A116C091004 Please note when listing the vehicle I was not allowed to put the MI VIN # . I had to put the VIN # listed on the dash of the vehicle. I currently have a clear Wisconsin title which, lists the vehicle as reconstructed. So if you can live with the history of this vehicle - it is an awesome vehicle. The color is really great and overall condition of the vehicle is very good. The interior is leather and in very good condition (it's the same mystic chrome color as the exterior). The tires are like new with less than 1,000 miles. The top is in excellent condition (black denim material). Please feel free to call me if you would like additional information (Ed 414-241-7388). I strongly recommend you inspect the vehicle before purchasing.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels
Tue, 22 Jan 2013During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.
Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
Junkyard Gem: 1991 Mercury Capri
Mon, Sep 19 2016Ford has gotten a lot of use out of the Capri name in the United States. First, there was the Lincoln Capri in the 1950s, followed by the Ford Capri Mk1 (which was sold by Mercury dealers in the USA but never actually badged as a Mercury). Then came the 1979-1986 Mercury Capri, built on the very successful Fox Platform and essentially a clone of the Mustang. Finally, in 1991, the Australian Ford Capri came to the United States. Here is an example of this rare car that I spotted in a Northern California self-service yard not long ago. Mechanically speaking, the 1991-1994 Capri was a Mazda 323 under the skin, complete with a member of the same B-series engine family that went into such cars as the Miata and Ford Escort. So, for a few years in the early 1990s, car shoppers who wanted a sporty Mazda convertible could choose between a Miata and a Capri. The Capri had front-wheel-drive, but could be had with factory turbocharging. These cars were reliable and fun, but had a tough time competing with the Miata in the showroom battles. You'll see the occasional example now and then, but most of the 1991-1994 Capris have met the same fate that awaits this one. Related Video:
