You are bidding on a 2003 Mustang Cobra build number 4483 of 8394 . This car is 1 of 252 produced in 2003 as a black coupe with black leather and parchment suede interior. I am the second owner of the car and it currently has 14,390 miles on it, I purchased the car from my friends mother who ordered it brand new in 2003 and used it as weekend car. When I purchased the car it was all original down to original tires and protective sticker on the gas pedal that reads "cobra only" . I just put 4 new tires on the car, the last 300 miles I had a Steeda cold air intake, 2 1/2 MAC cat-back and Prochamber, metco 3.0 interchangeable  pulley and tune from Mustang Magic a reputable mustang shop on long island . Every time the car comes out it gets washed and waxed after a drive. Since i have owned the vehicle it does not see rain or cloudy damp days, I have a microfiber car cover, all the original stock parts and OEM tires from the car in 2003, the car comes with all supporting documents from SVT, dyno sheet from mustang magic, Decade of SVT hard cover book and certificate of authenticity. Please do not bid unless you are seriously interested and have money in hand to purchase the vehicle.I am selling the car for a larger down payment on a house. The title is clear and clean , The exterior is not perfect , there is a scratch on the drivers fender as shown in one of the pictures, and a few rock chips on the hood which have been touched up. As for the interior it is in showroom condition. The car was built on January 3rd 2003 , the 2003 cobras were known to have a common drivers side cylinder head issue, the later build cars had a blue stripe painted on the inside of the cylinder head to show that it was a motor built with the newer non recalled head as shown in the picture.  GOOD LUCK BIDDING and please any questions feel free to call or text me at (631) 774-9727

Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.

Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.

Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant

Sat, 20 Jul 2013

Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
