2003 Ford SVT Cobra #843 of 5082. This mineral gray convertible is one of only 154 made in this configuration.  Low mileage, it has never been pullied, raced or abused.  I have had several interested local buyers that couldn't come up with the funds so I am trying Ebay.  This car won't last!  I have the title in hand and a bill of sale ready for signature.  It has spent the last year in my garage under a layer of carnauba wax and a cover!  It still smells new inside!

This Cobra has a hand polished Magnaflow catback and and SVT Steeda air intake. It has custom wheels made by CCW- (Specs):
LM20 design 18x9.5 fronts and 18x11 rears. Hyperblack centers and polished aluminum lips. Comes with polished and hyperblack centercaps.
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires. 315 rears and 265 fronts.

Exterior is 9.5/10: Very few tiny rock chips in the front. I use a 2 step Klasse treatment and finish it with carnauba. It has never had clearcoat polishing with an abrasive! this paint glows and really transforms in different light

Interior: 9/10. Carpet, plastic, console are all perfect. The top of the visors are faded from only being out on sunny days, and there is a small nick in the suede on the drivers seat. Passenger seats are showroom.

Comes with tons of extras! I have a micro-suede fitted cover, an extra serpentine belt, extra oil filter, an SCT hand held tuner, all SVT documentation, 2 keys, and a window sticker.

This is a true original and spectacular example of the terminator Cobras. It even has the original front glass with pony emblem, no cracks or fills!. I have the original 17x9 SVT rims with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that will go with the car as well.

I changed every fluid at 28,000 miles, replaced the fuel filter, and had it aligned. I just changed the engine oil and filter again at 30,500 miles. Mobil 1 Synthetic.

This car has zero issues. I drove it from Monterey California to Phoenix and it got 23MPG. it is beautiful, and well mannered. If you are looking for a stock or near stock 2003-2004 Cobra in mint condition, this is it. I am in the Navy and overseas orders are forcing me to sell it.  I have clear title in hand.

Ask questions before bidding.  $500 non-refundable deposit due at auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close.  This car is sold as-is and where is.  Buyer responsible for arranging shipping.
DO NOT BID IF YOU DON"T HAVE THE FUNDS IN ORDER!

Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.

The next-generation wearable will be your car

Fri, Jan 8 2016

This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.

Ford UK exec says EVs are a good way to lose a fortune

Wed, Mar 19 2014

Stateside, Ford execs are quick to point out the automaker's expansion in the plug-in sector. And despite a minimal presence in the pure EV space, the Blue Oval has been promoting its plug-in vehicles as part of an overall effort to boost fleetwide fuel economy. Too bad the company's UK chief didn't get the memo. There's "no point in us getting behind [EVs] and losing a fortune" - Ford's Mark Ovenden Mark Ovenden, speaking rather frankly at the Geneva Motor Show recently, said he didn't have real high hopes for substantial electric-vehicle adoption and said the company's money was better spent on smaller gas- and diesel-powered engines, the UK's Daily Mail says. Ovenden said of EV development that there was "no point in us getting behind it and losing a fortune," adding that his goal was to have variants of Ford's EcoBoost engine in 40 percent of the company's vehicles. Ford has about a 15-percent market share in the UK. The UK doesn't appear to be as kind to the EV as the US. Nissan last year cut the price of its all-electric Leaf there last year by about $4,000, while the company rolled out a promotion for the Leaf late last year, including allowing Leaf drivers to borrow a gas- or diesel-powered Nissan for free for as long as two weeks a year during the first three years of Leaf ownership. In the US, Ford sold just 229 Ford Focus Electrics during the first two months of the year after moving 1,738 units in 2013.
