Up for auction is my 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra 1 of 1. It is a one of one as it was recorded for the show Knight Rider (2009). I worked on the show and the sound of the car in the show is my/this car. I hate to sell it but I bought another car and this one just sits. Not is a rush to sell, but will entertain all offers. The car will come with Three signed letters from the Knight Rider sound supervisor, the Sound FX editor/Recordist, and myself. It was mic'd up under the hood and on the rear bumper for the stereo recording. A GT500 was used as the car BUT the sound of the car was actually this 2003 cobra. I will also include an audio CD (and wav files if requested) with some of the source audio recordings. Now more about the car itself. I am the only and original owner since new, purchased September 2002. The car has 81k miles. The only modifications have been: A 2.76 pulley (since 13k miles), dyno tune, Cold air intake, short throw shifter, and a Mac 3 inch catback only (so it passes smog every time). The car has always run great, I had it tuned a little rich as not to push the motor. Only mechanical repairs in 10 years have been: Rear pumpkin reseal (common on these, under warranty years ago), alternator, water pump? (cant recall), radiator, 02 sensors, batteries and a clutch. The car only left me stranded once in 10 years and that was when the alternator died. Never had the dreaded tick that some cobras had. The brake pads were replaced within the last 6 months (not sure if rotors can be resurfaced or not next time). Tires are in great shape all around. The clutch was done at about 50k miles and currently is just ok, minor marbling sounds (quiets down when clutch depressed) the last 10,000 miles but works well, no slipping at all. The car was hit 3 times. In 2003 the drivers rear quarter panel and rear bumper were repaired, ~2007 the drivers fender and front bumper were repaired, and lastly the front bumper/headlight/hood were pushed in and cracked in and never repaired. please see pics. The exterior and interior are in POOR to fair condition. I say this honestly as the paint is faded in spots, long scratch on hood (Keyed at dodger game), some surface scratches and scuffs around car, the drivers seat is ripped pretty bad, headliner is sagging just a bit in the back (not so bad to affect rear view really), boost gauge only works sometimes (usually when cold). Kelly blue book on a fair condition 2003 cobra is ~13,200.00 and ~15,400.00 for good condition (which this one falls short of). Of course KBB does not factor in 1 of 1 :) Please feel free to see the car in person and have the car inspected before Bidding. All Sales will be final, the car is sold as is. Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours in the amount of 1000.00. the balance and vehicle pickup must be made within 5 days from auction end. Cash in person is preferred but paypal will be accepted (very small fee may be added if paypal is used), The car is in Studio City, CA. PICKUP/Local sales only OR USA Out of state buyers MUST arrange their own transportation, contact me before auction end, and use paypal. Serious buyers ONLY. I listed this car as honestly as I can please check my feedback. Ask ANY and ALL questions before bidding/offering. This is a one of one 2003 cobra, audio recorded for the sound of K.I.T.T in the Knight Rider 2009 Series. Thanks for looking, make me an offer I can't refuse!

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford
Tue, 07 Jan 2014
The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors
Wed, 22 Oct 2014
Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
