Sliders could be added at some point if you wanted.
White Faced Gauges in stock cluster
Accelerator Pedal "Spacer Mod" (adjusts gas pedal to make heel-toe shifting easier)
Autometer ultralite2 gauges, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, and diff temp
The steering wheel has some wear on the leather, could use a rewrap or you could upgrade to a momo or other aftermarket wheel.

Exterior
3M Vinyl Carbon Fiber Overlay on hood and trunk.
Rear Spoiler deleted
Small crape on passenger side scoop and a little bit on the quarter as well. Don't have an estimate on repairing this but should be straightforward for a bodyman. The paint still looks very good, it has been regularly washed/waxed and polished once a month and clay barred once a year. There are a few flaws on the exterior though, it is almost an 11 year old car. The front bumper could use a respray.

As far as tires, front Good Year Eagle F1s have about 60-70% left, Rears are Dunlops and they are almost bald. The wheels are MB Battles in 17x9.5 inch that have some minor curb rash but still in decent shape.

This is not a show car but it still turns many heads and gets lots of positive feedback. It sounds and drives great, and with a power adder would be the ultimate street/road course machine. Motor had good compression last I checked last year when I did new Bosch Platinum plugs. I also have an extra set of these plugs I can throw in at no extra cost, not that you will need them anytime soon. Oil regularly changed with Castrol Syntec Full Synthetic every 3-4k miles with a motorcraft filter.

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.

Muscle wins big at 2013 Amelia Island Concours as 1936 Duesenberg, 1968 Ford GT40 take top honors

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The 18th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took place this past weekend, and in one of the show's biggest years yet (bringing in more than 25,000 spectators and attracting more than 300 vehicles), two powerhouses ended up winning the judges' hearts. The top Concours d'Elegance award went to a 1936 Duesenberg SJN, while the Concours de Sport went to one of the celebrated marques, a 1968 Ford GT40.
Owned by Helen and Jack Nethercutt of Sylmar, CA, this flawless Duesy is described as "one of the most powerful open cars of the 1930s," and it displays design cues of the era like rolled fenders and a tapered rear end. The SJN's supercharged straight-eight allowed it to accelerate to 100 miles per hour in just 17 seconds - surely not a disappointing feat for its day.
On a much different level of performance and timelessness, this Gulf-livery GT40 from the Rocky Mountain Auto Collection is not outdone by the elegance of the big Duesenberg thanks to some well-documented racing history. This not only includes winning at LeMans in both 1968 and 1969 - Chassis No. 1075 also managed to win a total of six times in just 11 races.

Reflecting on the Ford GT on its 10-year anniversary

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Ten years ago, during the bright-eyed enthusiasm of the early 2000s and before the collective automotive industry did its best Titanic impression, we had the Ford GT. An everyman's supercar like there'd never been (remember, this was before 638-horsepower Corvettes were a thing), the GT arrived with a supercharged, 5.4-liter V8 that produced 550 horsepower and graced this retro-styled rocket with an easy, sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
Equal to the GT's performance were its looks. Inspired by the GT40 racers that dominated Le Mans and bested Ferrari in the 1960s, the sleek, low, almost-reptilian look of the GT was the absolute pinnacle of the retro styling that so defined the early 2000s.
Crank and Piston put together a video celebrating the ten-year-old GT, arguing that Ford is a bit too busy with the next-gen Mustang, which turns 50 next week, to do it themselves. In the short clip, there is gratuitous engine noise and supercharger whine, not to mention scenes of the white-on-red GT prowling the deserts and streets of Dubai. It's a bit short, but very nicely shot. Scroll down, have a look and be sure to turn up those speakers before getting started.
