For sale is my 1999 svt cobra dubbed "The Green Machine" it has very low miles 37,xxx original miles!! The green machine has always been a babied car always garaged and well taken care of.  The previous owner almost never drove the car in the nine years he owned it.  I have treated the car like a baby giving it mobile 1 oil changes and washing out the k&n filter every 3k miles since ive owned it. The car turns heads everywhere and gets tons of compliments the green is a color that you have to see in person pictures don't do it justice. The car has no door dings or dings of any kind there are 3 small scratches on the whole car not bad for a 99.  If you are interested in seeing them i can send u a pic just ask.  Any body shop can fix for less than 200 bucks they just dont bother me and i am not interested in a perfect car i like to drive and not worry about a little imperfection.  Installed brand new tires 1-12-13!!!

The car has a few minor upgrades that enhance factory looks and performance which include,
-Magna flow stainless exhaust
-K&N intake
-New battery
-Tinted windows
-Side skirts and rear bumper lip
-Cobra shift knob
  -Floating cobra front emblem
-Foe wood interior trim kit

   -Lowered slightly for better handling
The wheels are 17 inch chrome wheels with svt center caps no marks on any of the wheels they are like brand new.  The tires are brand new in the rear and 1 year old in the front (2000k miles). The cars color is fords limited electric metallic green this cobra is one of 408 painted this color. Even though the car has been lowered it never rubs or scrapes. The reason I am selling is to buy a motorcycle no other reason. I will consider a partial trade for suzuki m109r, bobber, vrod, or chopper.  Please text or call me at 913-206-2131 my name is mike and if I do not answer leave a message and I will get back with you shortly thanks for looking. Auto industry insider previews tell-all book, What Did Jesus Drive?

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

"It's about some of the biggest crises in history. It's about who did it right and who did it wrong." - Jason Vines
Jason Vines, the former head of public relations at Chrysler, Ford and Nissan, has seen a lot during his more than 30-year career, and now he's offering a behind-the-scenes look at the auto industry in his tell-all book What Did Jesus Drive? that went on sale this month.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid

No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.

Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot

Sat, 11 Jan 2014

There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
