My eMail : MonicaRubensteinwlow@yahoo.com EXCELLENT CONDITION!-1999 Ford Mustang GT 5-Speed with a 4.6 V-8 engine, has alittle over 62,000 miles. Battery about one-year-old. Car has 2-tone leatherseats, A/C, power windows, power locks, power seat, power mirrors, cruisecontrol, radio, cd and cassette player with a Mach 460 Sound System and Perellitires. It is a 35th Anniversary Edition and has been stored winters. Car stillhas the 35th anniversary edition floor mats. (I switched them out with somegeneric floor mats to protect them). Color of car paint is metallic silver withblack paint in front of air scoop on hood. Other than a few small scratches, caris in excellent condition. I have owned the car for nearly 14 years andpurchased it from the original owner. There is a hum in the third gear which amechanic checked out years ago. His advice was to leave it alone, since it couldbe something as simple as a burr on the gear. Car has been taken good care ofand is great to drive! I also have a storage cover that goes with the car. Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.
