1996 Ford Mustang Svt Cobra Coupe 2-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Adrian, Michigan, United States
I have up for auction an adult-owned, garage kept 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. It has a 4.6L, 32 Valve DOHC engine, 5-Speed Transmission, black leather seats, cruise, and stereo cassette w/CD player. I purchased the car in 2009, and since that time the car has been painted (due to fading), received a new set of wheels and tires, old school sequential turn signals, and basically maintained it over the last 5 years. The original color was Crystal White and is now 2010 Ford Grabber Blue. The Hankook Ventus tires are mounted on Ford Cobra R black chrome wheels. This is a very unique set of Ford wheels and one of two prototype sets designed as part of a promotional event hosted by a local Ford Dealership. Other modifications include sub-frame connectors and caster/camber plates. Clean interior. Comes with a California Car Cover and Haynes repair manual.

Subcompact sales slump, yet again
Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown
Fri, 10 Jan 2014You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
Ford to build Explorer in Russia to meet demand [w/video]
Fri, 12 Apr 2013The current Ford Explorer is sold in more than 64 countries, and this three-row vehicle continues to grow in popularity worldwide. To keep up with demand, Ford began producing the Explorer at Ford Sollers Elabuga Assembly Plant in Tatarstan, Russia, a joint venture facility. This partnership will build Russian-market Explorers only, and production of export vehicles not destined for Russian buyers will continue to be built at Ford's assembly plant in Chicago.
Before this plant went online, Ford would ship Explorers to Russia (and other regions around the world) as partially assembled knock-down units where final assembly would eventually take place. While there is no indication as to how many Explorers Ford Sollers will build for Russia, Ford did add that exports of the SUV were up 65 percent last year (from 2011) accounting for more than 24,000 units.
Scroll down for a press release about the Russian Explorer as well as a video (bad music and all) showing the SUV being produced in Tatarstan.
