THE PAINT WAS DONE IN THE WINTER OF 2011 JUST BEFORE THE CAR CAME APART. IT WAS PAINTED AT A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP BODYSHOP AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE CAR HAS NOT EVEN BUT RUBBED OUT YET AND LOOKS GREAT AS IS.THERE ARE A COUPLE VERY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS IN THE PAINT BUT THEY ARE MINOR. I ALSO WANTED TO MENTION THE TOP WAS PROFESSIONALLY REPLACED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND I HAVE THE RECEIPT FOR THAT AS WELL AS MOST OF THE OTHER RECEPTS FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE PARTS PURCHASED FOR THE REBUILD. THE TOP REPLACEMENT WAS JUST SHY OF 1K. THE CAR ALSO COMES WITH A 2 PIECE SPEEDSTER TONNEAU COVER PAINTED TO MATCH AND A TINTED WINDSCREEN ALONG WITH THE FACTORY CONVERTIBLE TOP BOOT AND STORAGE BAG. A CUSTOM FIT CAR COVER WITH STORAGE CASE IS ALSO INCLUDED.PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAR COMES WITH THE WELD RACING WHEELS. Ladies Love It: Ford Fiesta wins Womens World Car of the Year
Thu, 25 Jul 2013It's official: A panel of female automotive writers has chosen the Ford Fiesta 1.0-liter EcoBoost as the Womens World Car of the Year, and it beat tough competition like the Mazda CX-5, Range Rover and Porsche Boxster S for the overall top spot.
The CX-5 and Range Rover won the SUV and Luxury Car categories, respectively, and the Boxster S laid claim to the Sports Car category, beating the runner up Audi RS5 and third place Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ (or Scion FR-S). The Audi Allroad was named the Family car of the year.
The panel consisted of 18 female automotive writers from around the world tasked with picking the best car in each of eight categories, including top vehicle overall, using criteria that women utilize when shopping for a car. That includes safety, value-for-money, aesthetic appearance, storage space, child-friendliness, ease-of-driving, color, sex appeal and environmental footprint.
Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide
Thu, 31 Oct 2013Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.

Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
