1993 SVT Cobra Mustang #3356
Red exterior with gray leather interior no sunroof car, 49k original miles and a really nice presentable car that
you can be proud of at any mustang event. This car has been well cared for and preserved meticulously over the
years, even though it is 23 years old the paint still has great depth, the trim and body moldings still look new,and
after 49k miles during its life the underside is almost as clean as the outside. It is always garaged and covered
when not attending shows, and maintained as it should be.
The cobra does have some basic mods, some performance and some just cosmetic but I do have most of the stock parts
that were taken off. Here is a list of things that have been upgraded:
Suspension- lowering springs H&R springs on the front with Eibach springs on the rear,KYB shocks and struts,Maximum
Motorsports caster camber plates to align the car, rear upper and lower control arms w/poly bushings, subframe
connectors, and a strut tower brace in the engine bay, along with brand new ditto 555's on all four corners. The car
handles great for a fox and still rides great.
Performance- aftermarket exhaust, shorty headers,h pipe, mac mufflers exiting through 3" magna flow tips. Steeda
short throw shifter, ford racing aluminum driveshaft, rear gears,c&l intake tube,pro-m mass air meter, ford racing
plug wires, fluidyne aluminum radiator and a electric fan set up. All this just gives the car a nice feel of power
and the legendary fox mustang sound.
There are a couple of things that I can nitpick about the car like the car has had the hood repainted at some point
to remove a few rock chips, but the shop didn't get them completely sanded out and over time as the paint has shrunk
they have become visible if you look very closely, the window switch on the driverside for the passenger window
operates backwards, the factory ford radio has never worked since I have owned the car,and the air bag light started
flashing last fall when I was putting the car in storage for the winter.(flashing code 34)
Overall this is a very nice well kept well documented 1993 cobra mustang ,All vin tags are in place, and car will
come with a folder of documents including the SVT paperwork, window sticker, etc.I

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.

Need for Speed movie casts Mustang in hero car role

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

Dreamworks Studios, Electronic Arts and Ford Motor Company announced today that the Ford Mustang will play the lead hero car role in the upcoming Need for Speed movie, slated to hit theaters next February. Of course, the Mustang didn't audition for the role like we imagine the film's star, Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame, might have. Rather, Ford and Dreamworks struck a partnership deal that meant the Mustang could skip the casting couch. The deal will also see the film's universe populated with other Ford products (gratuitously so, we're guessing), and the automaker will also help the studio promote the video-game-turned-movie next year.
The hero car in question is a special one-off Mustang created by Ford that is making its debut at the E3 video game trade show as we speak. Powered by a supercharged V8 and apparently based on the Shelby GT500, the car's been modified with a widebody kit, 22-inch wheels, larger air intakes and twin hood nostrils. Ford also provided the film's production with an F-450 truck that will be called "The Beast" in the film's story, and a second Mustang to be used during filming as a camera car.
The Mustang's movie career is really taking off, with news of its Need For Speed casting closely following last week's release of the trailer for Getaway, a movie coming out in August that stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and another Shelby GT500. In addition to Aaron Paul and a modified Mustang, the Need For Speed movie also stars Michael Keaton (cop, we're guessing) and Dominic Cooper (villain, we're guessing), and is directed by Scott Waugh, who directed the Navy SEAL film Act of Valor in 2012.
