1991 Ford Mustang Gt on 2040-cars
San Angelo, Texas, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : springsbbrislan@ukswimmers.com .
This car has tons of brand new parts and
countless custom touches. There are several hundred hours in this car. To have this built you would spend well over
the asking price at any shop and would probably wait a year or more for it to be completed.
Fox body Coyote swaps are as rare as they are costly to do. It is even rarer to find one for sale. Most are just
dropped into a stock engine bay with manual steering. manual brakes and no AC and are not a full build. Even so
they usually command a hefty price when sold later. I have never seen one for sale as it is being completed.
Every one has been raced/driven by the original builder/shop and sold some time later. This is for sale when it is
completed. No guessing how it has been driven.
This car is garaged and covered and will only test driven as part of the build/ tuning process to check everything
functions properly. It will then be dyno’d so there is no mystery on how much power the car makes. It will not be
driven after completed and will remain garaged until driven by its new owner.
This build began with a 1991 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback bought from a shop in California. They had completely
stripped the car, smoothed the engine bay, deleted and smoothed the antenna and did any required body work. They
then painted it Dodge PS2 silver and even painted it black underneath. It had a lot of parts I wanted so I bought
it. The car was so nice I decided to build it and sell it complete instead of just selling the roller. Modifying
fox bodies for myself has been my hobby since 1993. I normally don't sell my cars but with six I have too many
Mustangs already.

Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
2016 Ford Explorer embarks at the LA Auto Show
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Twenty-five years since its debut in 1990, Ford will celebrate a quarter century of Explorer models next year with the debut of a refreshed 2016 model at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19. The Blue Oval is keeping mum on hard details about the updated SUV for now, but the brand promises, "a new look, added capability and additional driver-assist technology," in its announcement.
Company marketing boss Jim Farley elaborated a little more on what to expect. "The new Explorer is still the SUV America fell in love with - a vehicle built for the perfect family adventure," he said in the release that you're welcome to read down below.
An updated Explorer is a pretty big deal for Ford's bottom line. Worldwide, SUVs and crossovers account for about 23 percent of Ford's sales, and the segment is projected to grow to around 29 percent by 2020. Ford further says that SUVs and CUVs are the world's quickest growing segment with demand up 88 percent since 2008.
Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?
Sun, 01 Jun 2014Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.
