It looks, starts, runs, smells, and drives like brand new car but with out all the expensive maintenance of a new car. Suspension and steering is tight with no wandering or looseness, no clunks or rattles when going over bumps, no wind noise, brakes stop on a dime, stunningly clean interior and underside. Seats and mats always covered with towels when driven. Owner's manuals still in the the glove box with all handouts and original child seat safety clip. Original keys included also with original key tags. Still has the two Ford Premium Sound cassette tapes in the console too. Original sunroof bag is in the trunk as is the original cargo net. All original silk-screening is mint on all the seat belts and switches with no wear. Original floor mats still look like new also with no wear marks and have been covered with towels when driven. No worn down seat tweed upholstery or foam here. They look, smell and feel like brand new. Piping is perfect too. These seats are VERY comfortable even on longer trips. Inside of the truck boasts a good amount of space, surprisingly and the seats fold down. Original spare and jack have never been used.

Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job
Sun, 29 Sep 2013There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.
