this is my 1990 ford mustang 5.0, fox body mustang
I will start right off by saying this car is being sold as a project, it runs, shifts, drives, but has not physically been on road in at least 5 years due to the fact that I have been slowly tinkering on making it quicker and faster as time permits
it has spent most of its life out west ,has never seen a winter, and rarely been in the rain
I have had full intentions of returning it to a driver but simply haven't had the time
as it sits the car will need a complete going through, right now it starts right up idles with a nice low lope and sounds really nice
it has a very nice healthy lope due to the comp cam and will sit and idle
the battery is currently mounted in back for weight transfer and the car also received a faster higher volume fuel pump, also has a cold air induction system, short throw shifter, 32 ib injectors and more
the sway bar and power steering pump are not available as they were removed for weight savings and will have to be reinstalled to pass inspection
interior is in decent used shape, will need a good vacuuming of carpet, but car has desirable black interior
never seen snow, always garage kept, so little to no rust, rear fender and side of car has a long shallow dent, rear quarter panels are faded, but I did have them buffed pretty easy, rest of car is bright
nice dual 2 inch exhaust, car came from factory at around 250 horse, currently as sits is near low to mid 300`s with motor mods, does require at a minimum 93 octane
once again please understand this is a project that will require considerable work to make road ready, unless you just want to bash on it at the track
has been a very good car to me and I am still on fence about selling
speedo stopped working approx. 2-3 years ago, so mileage is still fairly accurate considering car is not driven on street
car may/will need many more items that I have not listed not including tires, brakes, shocks, etc
car does shift hard, but that is due to heavier clutch, if you can put enough foot into it to depress that left peddle it will has problems
this is overall an really nice car, that sounds absolutely awesome, and turns heads wherever taken, easily will break tires loose through shifts
I will add to description as questions are asked or I think of things
see pics
car will need to be picked up with either trailer or tow dolly
thanks
On Sep-16-13 at 13:56:26 PDT, seller added the following information:
Ive already had a few conditions regarding car and condition, and what it will take to make road worthy
as stated above car will need a complete going through - that being said, Id drive it like it is, but that is me, anticipate it needs a lot and you wont be disappointed
I do not know specifics of clutch or comp cam, other than they are significantly more aggressive than stock
title is clear with no issues
thanks

Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.
Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
