I purchased this vehicle locally from the original lady owner approx 1 year ago, it had been covered in a garage for some time, she had driven the car from Florida to New York every year which is probably where a lot of the miles were clocked up. It has 122,791 on the odometer but you would not argue if somebody told you it had only done 22,791. I have only put about 400 miles on this car in 12 Months and it deserves to be driven more than that. This is a factory no a/c car, must be a rare option? The interior is basically perfect. It has a bunch of new parts recently installed including: brand new tires, radiator, water pump, motor mounts, alternator, starter, steering rack, tie-rod ends, headlights/turn signals, battery, rear main seal, fuel tank sender, 4x shocks, hood sound deadener, the front and rear brakes have been completely overhauled and I am sure I'm missing a few things. The paint looks great but it doe's show several small chips at the front of the hood and a few small parking lot dings etc. There are a few small rust bubbles appearing around the sunroof which I've included pics of and it doe's leak a few drips of oil. All panels are original and still have the VIN stickers on them. This car runs and drives awesome, it is completely unmodified and bone stock. Includes 2 sets of original keys and the marti report. I have a clear title in my name. It breaks my heart to sell this car but I simply do not have the space to keep it. Car is located in Jupiter, FL about 20 miles North of West Palm Beach. Fly in and drive it home, I would have no hesitation in driving this car to California tomorrow. I am happy to assist in the transportation of this car anywhere. $1000 deposit via paypal expected within 24 hours. If you have a feedback rating of less than 10 please do not bid without emailing me first. If any interested bidders want to know more info about this vehicle please email me with your number and I'll give you a call.

Ford opens research center in Silicon Valley

Fri, Jan 23 2015

These days, the software running a vehicle's myriad of electronic systems seems to be getting nearly as much development focus from automakers as the traditional mechanical parts that keep a car going. Constantly improving that technology requires a lot of experimentation, though, and Ford is expanding its presence in Silicon Valley with the just-opened Research and Innovation Center Palo Alto to make that progress possible. Ford opened its first office in the country's technological hub in 2012 to draw talent and devise ways to deal with vast amounts of sensor data. Apparently, setting up shop in Silicon Valley was deemed a success because the Blue Oval decided to create this new lab in the Stanford Research Park to focus on five areas: connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, customer experience and analytics. Among the center's potential projects, Ford is hoping to develop better natural speech recognition, which is absolutely vital for improving infotainment systems. Assuming the tech eventually works well enough, your voice might even be used to adjust a vehicle's power seats, according to the automaker. The Blue Oval is also letting engineers from Stanford University test autonomous driving algorithms on a self-driving version of the Fusion. In a smaller stakes venture, researchers are working to get a Nest smart thermometer to automatically adjust the temperature at home depending on if an owner's vehicle is leaving or coming back. To really show that its serious about these ventures, Ford hired Dragos Maciuca away from Apple as the center's technical leader. The automaker also wants to have 125 researchers at work there by the end of the year.

Ken Block's Gymkhana 8 to feature Dubai Police cars?

Tue, Feb 23 2016

Yesterday we showed you the shiny Ford Fiesta that Ken Block will slide, spin, and hoon through the next Gymkhana video. In case the image above isn't clear, that video will drop at midnight EST on February 30th on the Ford Performance YouTube channel. We don't know all the entire premise of the video yet, but this Tweet from the man himself reveals that the video will be set in Dubai. Block is standing on the Fiesta we saw yesterday, and arrayed behind him are a handful of those famous Dubai Police cars you're probably familiar with. The force has a fleet of sportscars and supercars, and the purpose is outreach and goodwill among its citizenry, not necessarily the pursuit of criminals. This content is hosted by a third party. From left to right, we can see a Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911, what looks to be a Nissan GT-R obscured by Block's Fiesta, a McLaren (likely a 650S), Ford Mustang, and a Ferrari 599 of some ilk. Will they take part? Maybe Block will try and run from what might be the most horsepower-intensive police fleet in the world. We'll have answers (and a few minutes of pure Block hooniganism) in a few days. Related Video:

Ford updates Power Stroke diesel V8, strengthens F-450, tweaks King Ranch

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford is giving its F-Series Super Duty trucks some upgrades for 2015, and we're happy to say that one of them is an improved Power Stroke diesel V8. Also, Ford is strengthening the top-of-the-line F-450 to handle more abuse. And if wild west-style luxury is your thing, the automaker has performed minor cosmetic updates to its King Ranch Edition trucks, as well.
The turbocharged 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 is currently rated at 400 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque, and Ford only tells us the new and improved Power Stroke can "produce power beyond today's" engine. What, then, did Ford actually improve upon? First, the Blue Oval swapped in a new, larger turbocharger. The new Garrett GT37 turbine unit is 72.5 millimeters in diameter, eclipsing the old GT32's 64-mm diameter piece. Ford states output increases with the new turbo setup, but since the new turbocharger operates at a lower peak pressure than the old one, the automaker was able to eliminate the wastegate system and reduce the engine's complexity. Ford even redesigned the turbo's oil and cooling lines to make the powerplant simpler. A byproduct of the larger turbo is better engine exhaust braking, which is controlled manually by a button on the dashboard.
Ford claims the upgraded diesel engine is more powerful, more robust, more efficient and more refined than before.
