You are looking at a 1985 Saleen Mustang Car Number 85-0093 car was confirmed as real by Liz at Team Saleen way back when I bought it. I purchased the car from Genes Auto Sales in Delaware many years ago in its current condition and had hopes of bringing it back to its original condition . Well as you can see that has never happened as I have not had the funds and have had a few health issues the last few years. The car is mostly original with the original Hayashi wheels in good shape missing center caps though. Original wolf steering wheel in nice shape. Original Cal Custom Hawk Alarm. It does not have the correct shift knob and the radio and rear speakers are missing. The rear spats are there and in good shape .The side ground effects are there and are fiberglass but have cracks and need repair. The front nose is the original front three piece nice and is in very nice shape. You will note in pictures it is being held up by string as the tape has lost it stick. The Body of the car is in good shape for its age and shows some light rust spots in several location but nothing that has rotted through most is just surface rust. The rear shocks are the original Bilsteins and I believe the front are as well but haven't checked.the car has 55 thousand original miles but has been sitting on and off for many years. I purchased the car about 12 years ago from Genes auto sales in Delaware. I was told that the owner of the Dealership purchased it for his son in the late 80s from a Lady who was a Baltimore city meter maid. The owners son is who I purchased it from. He said his dad never titled it and when they drove it they put dealer tags on it. He said his dad thought that someday the car would be worth allot of money like a Shelby well that never happened and for all the years they had it his father refused to sell it for a fair price. The car sat and sat and the sun faded the paint and the decals and the car began to show its age. It looks as if it has been repainted on the roof and hood once and the decals look as if they were changed once.. The car was relegated to the back lot of the dealership when I purchased it. The motor is in good shape and does not smoke . It has a new battery in it but for some reason when I tried to start it today it just cranks and it isn't getting spark. The oil and the antifreeze have been changed several times since I have had as I didn't want anything to happen to the motor. It does have several exhaust leaks when it was last running and I believe the exhaust is original. The transmission shifts fine and the clutch seemed to be ok when it was driven around the block last winter. The interior of the car is in good shape other than some fading and discoloration of the plastic panels in the back. The drivers seat has some stitching that has pulled loose but that is about it. The rear hatch shocks need to be replaced as they will not hold up the hatch. The heater core has been bypassed and the A/C  did not blow cold. I want to be up front about the car as it does need work but it is an original first year production Saleen and are seldom seen anymore. The car is a great start for somebody that wants a fairly easy restoration. It would need to be trailered home as the tires have dry rot they will hold air but for only about a week or two before they start going down and the brakes should all be gone through since the car has been sitting. Please don't ask if I will part the car out as I will not it is a very very solid car that just needs the right attention.i want to sell the car to someone who will return it to its proper glory. I'm fairly knowledgable on this cars as I have had three real 85 Saleens one that I sold just last year and I have had an 88 convertible. Please ask any questions you have and I welcome and recommend you come look at the car or have someone inspect it. The car is being sold as is where is with no warranty. I request a 250.00 pay pal deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction with the rest due in cash or certified funds before the title will be released. Good luck bidding and Thank You For Looking

One Step at a Time
Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).

Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.
