1973 Ford Mustang Fastback (aka Sportsroof) with running 351W, Ford Toploader 4 Speed Transmission w/ restored Hurst four speed shifter. This is truly a "head turner" Mustang, sounds very awesome and fires up right away. This was my project car until I lost my Job and now my loss is your gain. Only thing left to do is connect the Transmission linkage rods adjust the breaks and a away you go. I drove this car before I started restoration 3 years ago and spent over $15k(isn't this always the story) so I am not making any money on this one. I am not a used car dealer so no "smoke and mirrors", what you see pictured here is what you get and. I have hundreds of pictures that I have taken over the last few years I have had this Car. Pictures show rear Wildwood Disc breaks but I have since installed new rear drum breaks so this will come with a set of NEW Wildwood rear Disc breaks that I spent over $800.00 for then decided to go back to original drums and Front Discs. This is NOT a numbers matching Car!, original Frame and body, but not original Transmission or Motor. Marty Report says this Mustang was Yellow, Ford 302 w/ 3 Speed Tranny. This was not restored to win a Trophy...(at least not the kind of trophies at Car shows!)
Body/Interior: No accidents or major dings, No rust and New Paint inside and out, Black with silver lemans stripes, not a professional paint Job but looks awesome at 10 feet, some buffer burn through marks that don't show up on pictures. I have lots of pictures of stripping down and going back together. New Windshield, New Interior front and back seats, New carpet, no center console for that "four on the floor" feel. This car has been in heated Aircraft Hangar for last two out of three years I have owned it being worked on inside and out. Missing interior Window pillars. Headliner is good. Electrical all seems to work except for tach needs to be connected and Heater needs to be reconnected. Power driver seat works great. Stereo sound is awesome. Trunk and Floor pans sprayed with "Raptor" coating.
Motor: 351W That starts right up and sounds very awesome with New Sanderson Headers and New Flowmaster Exhaust. Receipt available showing rebuild and was taken down and decided not to rebuild it again so Heads cleaned and just needs final tune. See pictures.
Please ask questions, Serious buyers only, Bid now and don't lose out on this Muscle Car. Vehicle being sold as-is and as pictured. Bidder also gets extra FREE rear Wildwood Disc breaks!!!
$500.00 non refundable deposit due immediatley at auction close via PayPal. Buyer responsible for shipping. This car is restoration project and is running but not driveable yet. Recharge Wrap-Up: Tesla, CarCharging and the EPA
Sat, Aug 23 2014Credit Suisse analysts are bullish on Tesla. The group gives the electric car company's stock an "outperform" rating with a target price of $325. For its continued success, Credit Suisse cites the vehicles' superior technology, in turn offering more torque, roominess and reliability. Says analyst Dan Galves said of Tesla's competition with ICEs, "If Tesla can get to cost-parity with Internal Combustion vehicles and still offer $1,400 to $2,500 per year fuel savings to the consumer, it won't be a fair fight." Read more at Yahoo Finance or at Business Insider. In other Tesla news, Tesla Model S owners will be able to unlock and start their car using an iPhone. The Tesla app is adding this functionality soon, perhaps with the update to iOS 8. It's not yet clear how this function will work, but it's one more innovative convenience feature that Model S owners can enjoy. That means drivers will have less to carry in their pockets or purses when they go for a drive. Read more at 9 to 5 Mac. CarCharging Group has remotely lowered the amperage on some of its residential users' Blink charging stations to 24 amps. This will slow down the charging time for affected customers with 6.6-kilowatt charging by about 15 percent. The company cited safety reasons for the move, with concerns about overheating. The amperage reduction is temporary, until CarCharging is able to provide replacement parts for the chargers. Some are concerned about the delayed action, as well as the fact that the reduction was handled without owner permission. Read more at Plugin Cars. Ford is halting test drives and sales of certain C-Max hybrid and Focus models due to a safety concern. Cars made during a single week this month at a Michigan factory may not have enough ball bearings in the steering gear assembly, which could lead to loss of control. None of the affected cars have been sold, Ford says, and about 50 units are currently at dealerships. Just over 600 will need to be recalled. Dealerships have been notified of the problem. Read more at Reuters and the The Detroit News. A new EPA report shows that urban air in the US is becoming less toxic since the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The report shows a 66-percent reduction in benzene, almost 60 percent reduction in mercury from man-made sources, 84 percent less lead and more.
The history and future of the Ford Bronco
Tue, 17 Jun 2014
Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.
