Ultra Rare 1 of 1 Built - Full Documentation - Original!!!

This is a gorgeous, very rare 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 429 CJ Ram Air fastback in outstanding original condition inside and out. It is a truly a mostly all-original car with only 17K original miles since new. It is extremely rare as it 1 of 1 built in Grabber Yellow with a Red interior and 1 or only 6 believed to be with factory air conditioning. This rare factory muscle car is equipped with its original, #?s matching 429ci CJ Ram Air V8, C6 Cruise-O-Matic and air conditioning. This car is completely original except for one paint job and was in the original owners hands until 2005. It was ordered new at Griffin Ford in Millard, Nebraska. It was driven for one year and put in storage for the next 33 years. I have photos of the original owner and the garage it was stored in all those years. This beauty has been pampered all its life and it shows! This Mach 1 in my opinion is "One of the nicest, most original 1971 Ford Mach 1's in the world". The Vermillion interior is completely original and looks like brand new. The car rust free and is solid as rock. I have had the privilege of selling many of these cars but have rarely come across one as nice and original as this one here!

This Mach 1 has tons of original paperwork and is a truly stunning find. It has its original sales invoice, down payment receipt, dealer claim form and sales brochure. It is also documented with a deluxe Marti report. It was purchased by a collector in 2007 where it was put away in his collection of over 80 collector cars, never to be driven or seen daylight until we purchased the collection a couple months ago. This is an ultra clean Muscle car that has been garaged and very well maintained its entire life and it shows! The exterior of this car is in beautiful condition. It has been painted only once in 2006 in its original color of Grabber Yellow. The finish is amazing and it still retains its original paint in the jams. The body is totally rust free and super straight. All the chrome and stainless on the car is in beautiful original condition and looks great. This car really shows like a diamond!

It has an exquisite, all original Vermilion interior in it that looks like new brand-new. The dash and gauge cluster looks like it just came off the showroom floor. It has all original glass and original rubbers that look like new. Inside the trunk is also all-original with its original space saver spare tire and jack!

Mechanically, this Mach 1 runs and drives like brand new. It is truly one of the nicest driving classic cars I've ever driven. The engine compartment is all original and super clean. It is all-original under the hood except for the spark plugs and wires. It is also sitting on its original Magnum 500 wheels and new BFG tires!!!

Ford invests $682 million in Edge-producing Canadian facility

Ford announced that it's investing $682 million in its Oakville assembly plant in Ontario, Canada, to make it a global manufacturing plant, which the automaker also says secures 2,800 jobs there. Including this injection of cash, Ford has invested over $2 billion in Canada in the last decade, starting with nearly $1 billion for Oakville in 2004, and over $570 million for its Essex Engine Plant in 2010.
The move to make Oakville a global manufacturer of Ford vehicles means, "If consumers suddenly shift their buying habits, we can seamlessly change our production mix without having to idle a plant," says Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas.
Ford says that the latest investment will help it meet North American demand for the Oakville-produced Edge crossover, which is on track this year to beat 2007's US sales record of 130,000 Edges. The Ford Flex and Lincoln MKX and MKT are also manufactured at the plant.

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years

While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."

Has the auto industry hit peak hybrid?

Hybrids are known for their great fuel economy and low emissions, but it looks like given current market conditions, only about three percent of new car consumers are willing to pay the premium for them. A new study from IHS/Polk finds that the hybrid market share among overall US auto sales are falling, despite more models with the technology on sale than ever before.
The study examined new car registrations in March from 2009 through 2014. In that time, the auto industry grew from 24 to 47 hybrid models available to consumers, but market share for the powertrain remained almost stagnant in that time. As of 2009, hybrids held 2.4 percent of the market; it fell slightly to 2.3 percent in 2010 and grew to 3.3 percent in 2013. However, 2014 showed a drop back to 3 percent. Overall hybrid sales have been growing since 2010, but they just aren't keeping up with the total auto market.
According to IHS/Polk, this isn't what you would expect to see. Usually, each new model in the market brings along with it a boost in sales. The growth in hybrid models 2009 to 2014 should have shown a larger increase in share for the segment.
