1969 Mach 1 Super Cobra Jet SCJ. 1 of 1 per Marti Report. Solid original car. What I have been told about the car is ordered by a aerospace engineer in California where it stayed until 2012. Shortly after he pulled the original engine and stored it and installed a 427 Side Oiler short block. The car was only hauled back and forth to the drag strip. Car set for years and then they guy was killed in a accident in 2003 so car was left to his brother. His brother had no money so car set until 2012 and I acquired it via debt he owed. Since car and motor set for so many years the SCJ motor was torn down and gone through, 16 new stainless steel valves were installed along with hardened seats. Car is solid solid solid. I replaced front and rear valance just because they were dinged up at didn't want to spend hours straightening. I believe we have them. I also put rear bumper because had a ding and peeled chrome. all other trim is original. All weather strip on doors and roof rail are original to the car. VIN on dash, door, apron and block all match. Transmission VIN was not legible but I have no reason to believe it isn't original to car. Interior is 100% original except dash pad. Seat have no rips and carpet has no holes or heavy wear. Driver floor mat (in carpet) has wear under clutch pedal but it isn't worn through by any means. Rear end has 3:91 gears. Seat belts are faded and ends need cleaned up but would not want to do to much since survivor car. Original spare in trunk. The shifter is out of a 1970 so it is Hurst which I am sorry was installed because they where better shifters. Fold down rear seat, AM FM radio power brakes and steering. ZERO RUST car.  pics of undercarriage are a little dirty.
Odometer shows 2032 miles and I believe them to be true and correct. This is a very righteous car and a true survivor. We painted outside skin only and the trunk and jambs remain in original finish. Replaced the exhaust system, belts, hoses and smog. Open to partial trades but MUST be rare or very valuable so I can resell and you MUST bring some cash to table. I don't believe there are many like this survivor around any where. Call or email with questions 918-704-1046 Dale I am more than happy to help assist in shipping at buyers expense.

Here's how much the new Ford Mustang will cost in Germany

Thu, Jan 8 2015

While you can find Ford Mustangs across Europe, they were brought over there courtesy of importers, rather than Ford itself. That's changing with the 2015 pony car, as Ford will be selling it directly through its overseas dealers. Now, we know how much German customers will be shelling out for the muscle car, courtesy of the maniacs at Mustang6G. Not surprisingly, there's a fairly hefty premium compared to US prices. The base Mustang, with its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission will start at 34,000 euros ($40,214, at today's rates), while the 5.0-liter V8/six-speed-manual model starts at 39,000 euros ($46,127). The Mustang Convertible demands an extra 4,000 euros ($4,731) while the optional six-speed automatic elevates the price by 2,000 euros ($2,365), regardless, in both cases, of whether there are four or eight cylinders under that long hood. While those prices are certainly pretty dear compared to what we pay in the US, the Mustang is a genuine bargain compared to some of Europe's other sports coupes. The German market BMW 4 Series starts at 36,050 euros ($42,638), while a base 435i calls for 48,100 euros ($56,891). It's a similar story with the Audi A5/S5. As for the Mustang's arch-nemesis, the Chevrolet Camaro, which is only available with the SS model's 6.2-liter V8, starts at 39,990 euros ($47,298), comparing quite evenly with the 5.0-liter GT.

Ford 1.0L takes third-straight International Engine of the Year award

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost is proving to be The Little Engine That Could, and it continues to acquit itself well, finding favor as one of the best powerplants in the world. To confirm it yet again, the tiny mill just won the International Engine of the Year award for the third year in a row, likewise also nabbing the title in the Sub 1.0-liter category.
Packing 123 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with overboost (125 lb-ft normally), the tiny engine combines impressive power in a size small enough to be a carry-on item for a commercial flight. US buyers only got a taste of the award winner in the 2014 Fiesta, while the 1.0 EcoBoost has been available throughout the Ford lineup in Europe for a few years now. American sales have reportedly been strong, however, and next up in the US, the mill will find its way into the 2015 Focus.
The panel of 82 jury members from 34 countries also named the Mercedes-AMG 2.0-liter turbo found in the A45, CLA45 and GLA45 AMG models with 355 hp and 332 lb-ft as the best New Engine for 2014. The electric powertrain from Tesla won Green Engine prize, and the 4.5-liter V8 from the Ferrari 458 Italia took home the honor of top Performance Engine yet again. You can check out all the winners below, and scroll down further to read Ford's celebratory announcement of its award.

Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.
