We like Mustangs, especially vintage ones; they are affordable, easy to work on, with plentiful parts availability. Still a great looking design after all these year, they are the epitome of classic muscle cars.

This particular example has been well cared for over the years and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. White over red is one of my favorites on these, clean and crisp.

Although this is not a hot rod with its 289, single exhaust, and automatic; it's a great weekend cruiser and a lot of fun.

The paint is shiny and overall in very good condition. The interior is in great shape, no rips or tears; headliner is in great shape and all the gauges work properly. The two weak spots on the inside of the car would be the dash cap and the fact that the carpets are a bit faded.

The motor runs great, starts easily hot or cold, and doesn't seem to smoke or leak fluids. The Automatic transmission shifts great and the drive train overall is nice and tight. The brakes are in proper working order and stop the car just fine.

The car comes with an owner’s manual as well as a spare tire, jack and lug wrench. The car is equipped with what I believe is factory air conditioning, much to my surprise it actually blows quite cool.

Please remember that is you bid and win the auction you will be expected to complete the transaction. Inspections are welcome, but must take place prior to the end of auction.

Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena

Fri, Dec 5 2014

Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ford Mustang GT Bi-Fuel CNG

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Highly intrigued, we recently visited a Southern California Gas Company office to check out several hybrid vehicles promising something new. Unlike more commonplace gasoline-electric hybrids, we were there to evaluate innovative gasoline-compressed natural gas (CNG) hybrids - yes, they run on unleaded gasoline and compressed natural gas. According to the experts on hand, this arrangement delivers extended range and reduced emissions while chipping in with lower operating costs than pure-gasoline vehicles. There are advantages over its gasoline-electric counterparts, as well.
The program is part of a three-way collaboration between The Carlab, a Southern California-based automotive consulting firm, Landi Renzo USA, a company specializing in alternative fuel solutions, and America's Natural Gas Alliance, a group that promotes CNG. Long story short, the team has engineered a way to allow a modified internal combustion vehicle to seamlessly switch between two fuels (gasoline and CNG) with no driver intervention. In theory, and if it works as well as promised, it's a win-win for the vehicle owner and the environment.
Parked at the Gas Company office were six different gasoline-CNG hybrid vehicles. To demonstrate the technology's versatility (just about any gasoline vehicle may be modified) Carlab brought a varied assortment of bodystyles, each from a different automaker. After taking a quick glance at the half-dozen in the parking lot, we made a beeline for the performance-oriented Ford Mustang GT - a 2012 model - with the six-speed manual gearbox.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.
