NO MORE INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS Period! been burned too many times.......

Up for bids is a 1967 Mustang Fastback w/ a 390 big block engine and 4 speed transmission. Previous owner had the car in his barn since the early 80s, so I'm guessing that's why it's not a rust bucket like most northern cars. Also comes with an official Marti Report listing various features, build date, original color, etc)
The car has new right and left front fenders, along with new hood and hood hinges/springs. The bumper, new bumper brackets/arms, grill,  pony corral, headlight buckets, etc are not on the car but do come with it. Front frame rails are really good (refer to the photos). The car is complete with all glass and the correct door glass for the fastback.  The interior comes with most everything you need (front bucket seats, rear seats, fastback fiberglass trim, deluxe steering wheel etc....) it was an original 4 speed car and does still have the 4 speed pedal setup bolted in. Someone tried to replace the inner rear wheel wells, and will probably need to be done again or fixed. Rocker panels are solid also and are in really good shape. The rear quarters are solid and do not need to be replaced. Roof of car is also in great shape ...no dents, rust etc...the rear glass is dusty but looks to be flawless. Some one put a temporary sheet metal cover in the trunk floor.  Has a 9in rear end. This is a project car, but probably one of the best starting points you'll find.

Previous owner gave me the paperwork to get a new title, but I never pursued it. It will take a little $$ and processing time, but I was assured it was obtainable.

Car is sold as is where is, but I will do my best to help out with loading.

this is a no reserve auction, so it will for sure sell.

Auction ends on Sunday night (September 8th) at 9:00 pm CST

Please email me any and all questions

questions answered:

I've received over 100 questions and a ton of emails so far on the car so I'm going to try to answer a few of them on here to help out.

No, the car does not run...it is a "project car"... Motor and transmission is bolted in, but car will need work before it is road worthy again.
You will have to arrange shipping, but yes, I will help with loading onto trailer. I don't have a tractor, but we should be able to push it.
yes, the car is sold with a bill of sale.

yes, if you are local or feel like driving to see the car, I am more than willing to show it..

No, as of right now I do not have a buy it now price in mind.. Offers are welcome, but I will not end the auction just based on an offer.

Yes, floor boards do need replacement like most 50+ year old cars....
Yes it does have a carburetor, not pictured,  but comes with the rest of the spare parts.. (I believe it is a Holley but not sure)

Please bid to win, and if you have "0" feedback or are new to eBay please email me first...

More questions are welcome, just give me time to answer them

Reflecting on the Ford GT on its 10-year anniversary

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Ten years ago, during the bright-eyed enthusiasm of the early 2000s and before the collective automotive industry did its best Titanic impression, we had the Ford GT. An everyman's supercar like there'd never been (remember, this was before 638-horsepower Corvettes were a thing), the GT arrived with a supercharged, 5.4-liter V8 that produced 550 horsepower and graced this retro-styled rocket with an easy, sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
Equal to the GT's performance were its looks. Inspired by the GT40 racers that dominated Le Mans and bested Ferrari in the 1960s, the sleek, low, almost-reptilian look of the GT was the absolute pinnacle of the retro styling that so defined the early 2000s.
Crank and Piston put together a video celebrating the ten-year-old GT, arguing that Ford is a bit too busy with the next-gen Mustang, which turns 50 next week, to do it themselves. In the short clip, there is gratuitous engine noise and supercharger whine, not to mention scenes of the white-on-red GT prowling the deserts and streets of Dubai. It's a bit short, but very nicely shot. Scroll down, have a look and be sure to turn up those speakers before getting started.

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.

NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles

Thu, Nov 27 2014

US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars.
