-1967 Ford Mustang Coupe Pro Touring Resto Mod-
Up for auction is my 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. I purchased this beauty in March of 2010, but have since found a new toy, and there is only room for one car in the garage. I believe this car was built in San Jose, California. It spent most of it's life in California, and was professionally restored there as well. The majority of the restoration was done in the mid 2000's and the vehicle has been driven approximately 7,500 miles since then. The long list of body, interior and mechanical work/upgrades is as follows:
BODY
- Entirely free of rust
- Cowl hood
- Ducktail spoiler
- Billet Grille
- Front spoiler racing apron with fog lights
- Non-funtional side scoops
- Bullet mirrors
- Shaved door handles with door poppers
- Paintjob is black with silver stripes - has minor chips/scratches (car is a driver not a show car)
COMPLETELY CUSTOM INTERIOR
- Autometer guages
- Grant wood steering wheel
- B&M ripper short shifter
- Pioneer CD/DVD/TV/Navigation unit with screen in the back for the kids
- Custom seats and upholstery (front seats reclining with head rests)
ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN
- 331 Stroker motor with Paxton Novi 1000 supercharger producing approximately 550 horsepower at only 5lbs of boost to keep the motor safe
- AFR heads
- Custom grind cam
- Edelbrock carburetor
- Edelbrock performer intake
- 331 steel dish kit H-beam
- Dual roller timing set
- High volume oil pump with Moly oil pump drive
- Canton early 302 front sump T-pan (7 quart)
- SBF 1.72 X 7.16 stud mount aluminum roller rockers
- MSD 'Digital 6 plus' ignition
- Large radiator
- Balance engine assemnly
- Machine work block prep
- Tremec 5 speed transmission, scatter shield, 9 inch rear with 3:73 gears
SUSPENSION
- Flaming River rack & pinion
- Global West subframe connectors
- Caltracs traction bars
- Willwood front power disc brakes
- Rear drum brakes
- Edelbrock 17 inch 454 rims
This car needs a little attention in some areas. The door poppers are giving me some trouble - they need to be repaired or replaced. The rear windows don't roll down or up properly. Also, there are no windshield wipers. The car was purchased this way, but you could probably have them reinstalled easily.
Overall, this car is solid! It has been driven up to 300 miles round trip with zero problems, and can be driven basically anywhere. Since it has been in NY, this car was always kept in a closed and heated garage. It was never driven in rain or snow. Also, tires are in good shape.
Please note this car is VERY powerful - if you're a beginner, this beast is not for you.
You are welcome to have a mechanic inspect the vehicle prior to bidding. Please be advised that this car is being sold as-is with no warranties. Feel free to call or email me with any questions: (917)-903-9211 -or- shmit79@yahoo.com
PLEASE - Serious buyers only! *This car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Mustang driver proves wheels are overrated
Mon, 21 Apr 2014We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.
2015 Ford Mustang fuel economy ratings leaked
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Thinking about buying a new Mustang, but want to know what kind of fuel economy it'll get? Well we have our first indication as the pony-car enthusiasts over at Mustang6G.com have gotten a hold of the Monroney window stickers for a few of the new 2015 Mustang models.
Although the V8 model is not among them, we can now see how the EPA has rated those models with a half dozen pistons or less. The Mustang EcoBoost with the turbo four and a manual transmission has been rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. The V6 manual gets 17 city and 28 highway, while the V6 automatic squeezes out a bit more in the city at 19 mpg but carries the same 28 highway rating.
By way of comparison, the latest Chevy Camaro with the V6 and a stick shift gets the same 17/28 EPA rating as a similarly equipped new 'Stang, and the V6 automatic Camaro gets 18/27 (slightly behind the Ford, but if you opt for the Camaro 2LS with its V6, automatic and 2.92 rear axle ratio, you'll be looking at 19 and 30).
Shelby Cobra, Mercedes 300SL and 1947 Woodie from Petersen Museum headed to auction
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The changes happening at the Petersen Museum have been making the rounds in major press, but it probably won't be until August 18, during Pebble Beach, when we get the full story on what's happening; that's where and when museum reps plan on announcing the way forward for the SoCal institution. In the meantime, the museum is still reorganizing its collection, and that means auctioning some of its showpieces at this weekend's Auctions America event in Burbank.
Three of the stars are a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, one of less than 20 produced with a three-speed C-4 automatic transmission, a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL owned by actor Robert Stack and the last 1948 Ford Sportsman 'Woodie' ever produced. The Cobra, now restored to its original white exterior and red leather interior, was a factory demonstrator that first sold for $5,250. Showing just 38,950 miles on the odometer, its pre-sale estimate is $800,000 to $1 million.
The 300SL is actually a 1957 model but wasn't titled until Robert Stack took possession in 1960. The lead actor in the The Untouchables TV series used to drive by the Sunset Boulevard Mercedes dealership to ogle the car, but couldn't justify spending the money to buy it. When he and the producer of The Untouchables won Emmys for the show, the producer, who happened to be Desi Arnaz, bought the car for Stack. He owned it his whole life, it has been left as Stack drove it and still bears the California license plate "UNTCHBL."
