1967 Ford Mustang C Code Deluxe Interior Disc Brake Coupe on 2040-cars
Jonesboro, Louisiana, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Ford
Drive Type: Rear
Model: Mustang
Mileage: 100,000
Trim: coupe
Up for bids is this 1967 ford mustang coupe. It was a high optioned car when it was new. It was originally a C code 289 car with automatic transmission. It had the deluxe interior package. It also was a A/C, power steering, disc brake, and console car. This is a project car. It needs to be restored. It would be a good car to rebuild because it would be a high optioned coupe that would be worth more money than a plain coupe. This car was originally a vintage burgandy car with deluxe parchment interior and a vinyl top. This car had been stored in a barn for the last 15 years when I got it. The interior is pretty complete. The floor console is gone. The door panels are gone. Everything else is there. The fiberglass pieces on the seats are still in good shape. It has the clock in the dash. It has the over head console. The body is a solid body. It will not need much body work. The body panels are good. The rear quarters and trunk drop offs are good. The trunk floor is good. The rear frame rails are good. All the torque boxes are good. The fenders and doors are good. The front frame rails are good except there is a small place under the battery tray where there is a little rust in the frame rail. It is not that bad but it is there. It could be fixed with a patch. The car will need some sanding and a few spots worked out but the body is in good shape to be original and 40+ years old. The trunk lid is good. I have a good hood to go with it. I have all the front end pieces that are off of it. It has the front disc brakes on it. This car has not been on the road in years. It will need to be restored but would make a great restoration project. The floor pans will need replacing. You rarely find a mustang with good floor pans. All the glass is good in it except the windshield. The motor and transmission are not original. It has a 302 engine in it with a automatic transmision behind it. The guy said it ran when it sat it in it several years ago and was okay. I tried to turn it over by hand but couldn't get it to turn so either i didn't get a good grip on it and couldn't turn it or it is stuck. You might could fill it up with marvel mystery oil and let it sit for a few days and it might break loose and be fine but I can't make any promises on the condition of the motor and transmission. If you are rebuilding the car you would probably want to go through the motor and rebuild it anyway so it will be new but it could be fine. I have a clear title to it. If you have questions or need more info just let me know. I took several pics of it but if you need more just let me know. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for the car. The car is located in Jonesboro Louisiana. I can store it as long as needed but I will require full payment within seven days after the end of auction. Please ask all questions before you bid and make sure you want it.

Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.

Ford board OK with Mulally stepping down earlier
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Ford's board is open to CEO Alan Mulally stepping down before his planned departure in 2014, inside sources are telling Reuters. Ford's plan of succession, aside from who would be his actual successor, has been something approaching common knowledge - the 68-year-old former Boeing exec had plans to stay through 2014. This was recently confirmed by Mulally himself on Bloomberg Television and in Automotive News.
Motivation for the about-face comes from what Reuters calls a "growing confidence" in the current crop of Ford execs, led by Mark Fields. Fields, Ford's current chief operating officer, has been tipped as Mulally's ultimate successor, although he's far from the only person with eyes on Ford's top job. Normally, Ford's board saying they're open to an executive, that's done very well for the company, stepping down early would be nearly unremarkable. It's the timing of this announcement, though, that makes this a big piece of news.
Recently, Mulally has been the subject of rumors that he's interested in taking the CEO position at tech giant Microsoft. The Redmond, Washington-based company's CEO, Steve Ballmer, told the media in August that he'd be retiring in a year's time. The fires were stoked when tech website AllThingsD speculated that Mulally would take the top spot, despite denials from the man himself. Could Ford's current boss become the new top dog at Microsoft? Will Mark Fields replace him? Could recently departed Renault exec Carlos Tavares land at Ford in some capacity? Let us know what you think below in Comments.
