1966 mustang project. Needs final fit and finish welding. New metal is loose fit and tack weld in some areas. Metal in floor is welded in but will need some attention on underside where the previous owner did not fit new metal to the old metal very good. It is welded in solid but if you want good looks you will have to fit and finish a little better. It looks ok from inside car. Doors feel solid on opening and closing. Fit on rear quarters look pretty good, need welding around wheel wells and rear section. New gas tank loose installed. Front area loose installed and will need some metal work also to make it look nice. Most of these areas will be easy fixes if you have some knowledge with metal working. All parts seem to line up pretty good. Should have most parts for this project but I am sure there will be some things you will have to get. Windshield is cracked at bottom of driver side, chrome around windshield is pretty decent. Seats and interior will need attention. Top is unbolted but I may try to bolt it back on for transport, I dont know if I can leave it loose to transport but may try to strap it on. Buyer is responsible for vehical pick up but I will assist any way I can to help load. I dont know anything about the engine, I was told it did run but this project was purchased back in 1995 from previous owner and I believe this has been in their barn for all these years. Radiator is not installed due to the work at front end. I have one of the bumpers that looks in ok condition but it is missing other bumper. I will look again in barn, maybe I do have both bumpers but will have to look again. This is the way I purchased the car with all the loose parts. Engine turns over easily, and tranny is installed. I do not know if I am going to get the keys for this, I am waiting to hear from the person that I bought it from if they find them. So selling as seen in pics. Much of hard work is done but will still need alot of attention. Will be a nice car when completed. Any questions feel free to ask. If you want to talk leave your number and a good time to call and I will call you back. 300.00 due within 48 hours of auction end and remaining balance due in 2 weeks. I can hold car until transport is arrainged. I may only list this one time due to the fact that it cost 50 bucks every time I list it, so if you are interested keep in touch.

We compare 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport specifications to their ritzy Land Rover competiton
Tue, Jul 14 2020The 2021 Bronco and Bronco Sport are the spearheads for Ford's new 4x4 sub-brand, with the former taking the fight directly to the Jeep Wrangler and the latter providing Ford with a more rugged alternative to the Escape. We've already looked at how the new Bronco and Bronco Sport compare to their mainstream competition, but we'd like to see how the Bronco stacks up to another hotly anticipated returning nameplate: the Land Rover Defender. Not to leave its little sibling in the cold, I decided to browse Land Rover's lineup and see what might be a suitable counterpoint to the Bronco Sport. For better or worse, I found an almost-perfect fit in the Range Rover Evoque. So, how do these new American 4x4s compare to the Old Country's more-expensive alternatives? Let's dig in, starting with the big boys. As you might expect from the Bronco's robust credentials, it holds its own here against the more-expensive Brit. The Defender's higher price point brings along a good bit of power advantage with both engines, but that's to be expected. The Defender also has that trick adjustable-height suspension that the Bronco lacks, giving it an edge in practicality, and it can also tow quite a bit more. On the flip side, there are quite a few advantages to going with the Ford, including a greater number of choices in terms of powertrain. The available manual transmission on four-cylinder Broncos is a nice bonus, for instance, as is the option of getting either the base 2.3-liter or the optional 2.7-liter engine with either wheelbase. The Defender is a bit more restrictive in this regard offering only the inline-six on the short-wheelbase model. As an added bonus, the Bronco is a convertible. That may not necessarily be a "plus" for all shoppers, but it's certainly an added bit of versatility (and potential appeal) the Defender lacks. And of course, the Bronco can be had for as little as $30,000, whereas the Land Rover starts at $50,000. Now, on to the less-rugged siblings. The specs here are actually a little tighter in most respects, but the powertrain story is almost identical. The Evoque checks in where the Bronco Sport tops out, and the Range Rover gets an optional high-output variant of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four.
Hot sales have Detroit automakers shortening summer shutdowns
Tue, 08 Jul 2014Back in May, there was speculation that the Detroit Three automakers would maintain or perhaps even extend their traditional summer shutdowns, mostly due to a bitingly cold winter that saw below-freezing temperatures infiltrate the southernmost reaches of the US, putting a chill on auto sales. Now, though, the numbers are in, and thanks to some promising sales figures, it looks like some domestic line workers are going to be working clear through July, in some cases.
According to Automotive News, Ford has slashed its traditional two-week hiatus for factory workers in half at four of its plants, while both Chrysler and General Motors will keep factories running nonstop (two plants in Chrysler's case and a third of GM's factories).
This is, as we said, thanks to some positive numbers. Chief among those is the Seasonal Adjusted Annual Rate, which was at an eight-year high of 17 million units. Individual figures were less promising. GM, embroiled in its recall scandal, still saw a one-percent increase while Ford dropped six percent in year-over-year sales. Chrysler was the big winner, though, with a nine-percent jump in June.
Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
