Up for sale is a 1966 Ford Mustang c code coupe project. this car was built on January 17th, 1966 with the following options.

- 289 2v v8
- factory front disk brakes
- rare "Z" Sauterne gold paint
- ivy green & white deluxe "pony" interior
- 3 speed manual transmission

This car is a project  but is a very solid, very complete restoration candidate. This car includes a new set of left and right floor pans, new left and right toe boards, and a new set of left and right seat pedestals. This car does have some rust through the floor pans in spots as well as the rear fenders. There is also rust in the bottom of the rear of the front fenders. Rear frame rails have some rust but the front are in pretty good shape. Overall this car appears to be original with the exception of a previous owner added edelbrock 4 bbl intake, Holley carb, and air cleaner.  Original intake and carb are long gone unfortunately but I will throw in an original 65/66 2 bbl air cleaner. I have been attempting to get the block casting number to determine if the original engine so I will post to this ad once I have copied it down.
Partial dis-assembly of the car was started (interior, front clip) and all removed parts are included. The interior carpet was thrown out but the original seats are still intact and frames are complete.
Although this car has not been driven in many years, I did manage to get it running with some fuel and a battery and drove it around my yard a little. The engine did run on all 8 cylinders and was quiet. I'm not certain how many miles are truly on the car however the odometer lists 42332 miles.

Although not pictured, the font grill with horse & corral are included. Corral has a broken mount but may be repairable.
This car has been involved in an accident at some point in its life and the left front fender apron has been repaired or replaced. Given the repair, the apron mounted VIN is no longer in place however all other VIN stamps (under the left and right fenders) and warranty plate match the car VIN (and title) of 6R07C155289.

The car is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Denver Colorado. If you would like to arrange to see the car or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Now for the eBay logistics:
Shipping or pickup and associated expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer.  I am glad to assist with loading if necessary.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding. entering a bid  is entering into a contract to purchase. Purchaser to complete sale within 7 days of auction end unless prior arrangements have been made.
Car will be released upon clearing of all funds. Car does have a clean, clear, Colorado title.

Thanks for looking!

European car sales up 8% in February

Sat, 22 Mar 2014

Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.

Next-gen Ford Taurus spotted in China

Fri, Jan 2 2015

We're getting our first look at the next-generation Ford Taurus thanks to some spy shooters in China. While the camouflage and angle of the photo keep changes to the body a secret, there's no hiding the massive hexagonal, chrome grille up front. It lends a look very similar to the Fusion. Beyond the eye-grabbing grille, the headlights are reshaped, but are still quite squinty. There's also a new lower air dam that runs the width of the front with LEDs at the top corners. The hexagonal grille fits the design of the Fusion well, but this single image makes it look a little too big and disproportionate for the fullsize Ford sedan. Maybe the integration works better from a different angle, though. The next-gen Taurus is rumored debut for the 2016 model year and reportedly rides on a stretched and widened version of the Fusion's platform. Ford's big goal for the new model is allegedly to shed as many pounds from the scales as possible. The sedan also may get a nine-speed automatic to boost fuel economy. The engine range is still a mystery, but EcoBoost options are practically a sure thing, possibly even making up the whole model lineup.

Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."
