Make: Ford

Mileage: 100,000
Trim: coupe
Up for bids is this 1966 ford mustang coupe. This is a project car. It is a very rebuildable car. This is a sprint 6 edition with a 3 speed manual transmission. It has factory air and a floor console. The interior is all there just needs restoring. The body is in good shape. It needs some body work such as some smoothing and sanding but the body isn't to bad. It will need a hood but thats about it. Everything else is useable. The rear quarters are good. The trunk drop offs are good. The truck floor is good. The frame rails are good. This is really a solid car. It will need floor pan work. That is to be expected. All the glass is good in it except the windshield. The car will crank and run but it will need some carburator work. The brakes were working on it but they are not now. I am not sure if it is a brake line or what but it shouldn't take much to fix them. I have a clear title to it. The VIN is 6R07T214934. It looks like the front end will need a alignment. I have a clear title to it. If you are looking for a car to build this would be a good one. It will also need a new gas tank. If you have questions or need more info just let me know. I can store the car as long as needed but I will require full payment within seven days of the end of auction. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for this item. Please ask all questions before bidding and make sure you want it.

Are you Ford's next Bullitt Mustang? [w/poll]
Thu, 27 Mar 2014Ford has a long history of offering special editions of its legendary Mustang. One of the most vaunted of those trim packages, though, has only been offered twice. The first time was in 2001, and then again in 2008. Yes, we're talking about the Bullitt.
Named for the infamous Dark Highland Green Mustang Fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 cop melodrama Bullitt, the car was famous for not just its pilot, but the high-speed chase it took part in during the movie. Now, we think we have images of the next Bullitt.
According to our spy photographers, the paint is a "dead-ringer" for the Dark Highland Green that has signified these special edition Mustangs. While we're inclined to agree, it's also worth pointing out that this shade looks very similar to one of the 2015's other new colors, Guard. We've yet to see one on the road (let alone in such dreary conditions), so it's tough to say for certain.
Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Scroll down to hear a few people from Ford talk about the crosspollination between its racing and engine teams and watch the EcoBoost get red hot on the dyno.
National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
