This is a 1965 Mustang Fastback. 289 4V. 4 speed. Have not drove this car in 2 years due to paint peeling. Have started and drove but not put on the road. The pictures are as I drove it out of the barn. It has not been washed or cleaned. Body is in good shape. Frame is good. Needs a drivers side front floor pan. The front end is lowered 1 inch. 600 lb springs. All new control arms and bushings. KYB racing shocks up front. The car runs great. May just need a tune up from sitting. I drove it tonight about 5 miles, did some burn outs and had it up to 90. It runs good. With a little work car can go on the road now and be a driver. The paint was done in 1987. It has 32 coats of paint. See back of truck for candied color. The car was driven all summer for many years until our daughter was born. Haven't had the time or money to repaint. 289 has been upgraded with new cam, lifters, and newer 302 heads. Had Cyclone headers and dual exhaust. Clutch is good and tight. 8" open rear. 14" disc brakes up front and drums in rear. Chrome has light surface rust and should clean up decent for a driver. Interior carpet is dirty. Drivers seat has stiching worn. Passenger seat is good. Rear fold down seat is in good shape. Bid to buy this car. If it gets close to reserve I will sell. No text messages. Pls call 607-760-3512 with any questions or email. Once again no text messages. This car does not need alot of work to be fully restored. Car runs and drives. Drive this summer - restore this fall. Comes with 2 new rear tires. After tonight - I burned them up :)

Ford files trademark application for 'Model E'
Fri, 27 Dec 2013In early December, Ford filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for the name "Model E." Historically, Ford never produced a Model E, and while automakers are known to file for trademarks they never use, some have wondered if the application might be used for a concept car.
Based on other recent events, though, it could be a legal move. In 2000 Ford sued an online start-up called Model E over the similarity of that name to Ford's industry-shaping Model T, but the judge dismissed the case citing lack of proper grounds. In August 2013, Tesla applied for trademark registration for Model E, and at the time, Ford said it would review the application. Tesla actually made two applications for Model E, one for automobiles and structural parts therefore, the other for "providing maintenance and repair services for automobiles," and there are plenty of theories about what the name could be applied to.
The Published for Opposition date for Tesla's applications is December 31, 2013, after which anyone who thinks they'd be harmed by Tesla being granted the trademark gets 30 days to register their issues. This is just speculation, but Ford's application - which was filed for automobiles only - might be about protecting what it sees as unwelcome encroachment on the name Model T, protection it wasn't able to enforce before when the stakes were only online and much smaller.
eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype
Wed, 08 May 2013Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.
