1965 Mustang K-Code Fastback(5T09K157xxx). A rusty rolling shell needing a complete restoration. All three vin numbers are present. There is no data (door) plate. It comes with a Texas salvage title dated 1985, if you need it. Originally Twilight Turquoise with White standard interior. It is not a GT. Built the end of April 1965 with disc brakes and never had AC. There is no 9 inch rear end or disc brakes. What you see is what you get. The firewall, roof, door pillars, rocker panels, wheel houses and frame rails are good and usable. The transition sheetmetal from the lower back window to the upper trunk opening is also good. Everything else will need attention (complete floors front to rear, core support, battery apron, dash and cowl area, also trunk floor and quarters unless you want to try and save them). Do not be mistaken, this is a major project, but this car is worth building. I will not ship the car until buyers funds have cleared my bank. Buyer will arrange all shipping. You will have one week to make payment in full. If you have questions--Ask. I will respond. If you are a serious bidder,I can give you my phone number to talk about the car.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.
First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
