New Milford, New Jersey, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : reganrmmcfeeters@ukjo.com .
DUE TO HEALTH REASONS I AM FORCED TO SELL MY BELOVED 1965 MUSTANG FASTBACK 2+2 WHICH I HAVE OWNED FOR THE PAST 30
YEARS. I FLEW OUT TO CALIFORNIA FOR MY HONEYMOON, WENT ON A CRUISE TO MEXICO THEN WHEN WE RETURNED TO CA. I
SEARCHED THE CLASSIFIEDS FOR A CALIFORNIA RUST FREE MUSTANG TO DRIVE BACK TO NJ. I BOUGHT THIS CAR AND DROVE IT
BACK TO NEW JERSEY WHERE IT HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS. IT IS TOTALLY RUST FREE AND WAS NEVER
RUSTED LIKE MOST MUSTANGS YOU SEE TODAY. THE COLOR IS THE ORIGINAL RAVEN BLACK WITH THE VINYL BLACK STANDARD
INTERIOR. THE FRONT SEAT COVERS AND CARPET WERE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE HEADLINER BUT THE REST OF THE INTERIOR DOWN
TO THE AM RADIO IS ALL ORIGINAL. ALL THE INTERIOR PLASTIC BEZELS HAVE THE 50 YEAR OLD PATINA ON THEM. IT HAS THE
CENTER CONSOLE AND THE DEALER INSTALLED AIR CONDITIONING. THE PAINT IS IN GREAT SHAPE CONSIDERING IT IS 50 YEARS
OLD. THERE ARE A FEW BUBBLES ON THE TOP OF THE QUARTER PANELS AND A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES BUT NO DENTS ON THE BODY
AND THE PAINT STILL SHINES GREAT. ALL THE CHROME IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE FRONT BUMPER HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT THE
REAR BUMPER AND IS ORIGINAL. THE CHROME AROUND THE WINDOWS IS NOT PITTED OR DENTED AND THE WINDOWS ARE IN
EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE WINDSHIELD AND ALL THE GLASS IS TINTED BECAUSE OF THE A/C. THE VENTS IN THE QUARTER PANEL
WORK. THE REAR SEAT FOLDS DOWN WHICH MAKES THIS A 2+2. THE 289 V8 STARTS RIGHT UP, IDLES SMOOTH AND HAS PLENTY OF
POWER. THE C-4 3 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTH. ALL 4 DRUM BRAKE SHOES HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALONG WITH
THE MASTER AND BRAKE CYLINDERS. THE AUTOLITE 4 BARREL CARBURETOR IS ORIGINAL AND STILL HAS THE TAG ON IT. IT WAS
JUST COMPLETELY REBUILT ALONG WITH A BRAND NEW GAS TANK WHICH WAS JUST INSTALLED ALONG WITH A NEW FUEL GAUGE
SENDING UNIT. THE 9" 3.00 RATIO REAR END STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL TAG ON IT. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS ALL ORIGINAL
DOWN TO THE LINE THAT FEEDS THE CHOKE, BUT NEEDS TO NEEDS TO BE DETAILED. EVERYTHING IS NUMBERS MATCHING WITH THIS
CAR. IT HAS FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, CENTER CONSOLE, AND THE 2+2 REAR FOLDING SEAT.
THIS CAR HAS NEVER SEEN SNOW AND HARDLY ANY RAIN SINCE IT HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION. ALL THE LINES MATCH UP
PERFECTLY ON THE BODY. THE FLOORS AND TORQUE BOXES HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED, RUSTED, DENTED, OR MESSED WITH. WHAT
YOU ARE GETTING HERE IS A TOTALLY UNMOLESTED, ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED EXAMPLE OF A BEAUTIFUL 50 YEAR OLD MUSTANG WHICH
IS GETTING HARDER TO FIND. THESE CARS ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE CONVERTIBLES BECAUSE THERE WERE FEWER MADE. THIS CAR
HAS NEVER BEEN APART, HOT RODDED OR ABUSED IN ANY WAY SO YOU KNOW YOU ARE GETTING A GOOD, SOLID HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE
1965 MUSTANG FASTBACK 2+2. IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE MARKET FOR A GREAT CAR FOR YOUR COLLECTION YOU CAN STOP LOOKING
BECAUSE MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. NOT PICTURED ARE THE SMALL VERTICAL BUMPER PIECES. I HAVE THEM BUT THEY ARE NOT ON
THE CAR. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL SEAT BELTS AND OWNERS MANUAL.

Black Zombie electric Mustang launches Blood Shed Motors [w/videos]
Thu, Jun 19 2014As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant. Lightning repeatedly vanquished the darkness like the angriest of strobe lights and thunder shook the building, punctuating the clatter of a heavy Texas rain on the metal roof as the clock ticked away the initial seconds of a rare full moon Friday the 13th. It was then that the Black Zombie came to life for the first time. Beneath the hood of this rust-free 1968 Mustang fastback, a 289-cubic-inch V8 no longer turns gasoline into heat, noise and pollution. As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant, and now boasts twinned Warp 11 DC motors and a pair of fresh Zilla controllers that will serve as the basic blueprint for future vehicles. Dubbed the Zombie 222 drivetrain, the setup will be limited to 750 horsepower in customer's cars to keep the maintenance experience low, and eventually will draw power from a 40-kWh battery pack. In this first example, though, the output is bit more extreme. For one day, at least, they have the 1,500-kW-capable pack that powers the record-setting Swamp Rat 37 racer belonging to Don Garlits and a brief window of opportunity to try it out on a track. Blood Shed Motors is the result of a collaboration between NEDRA co-founder John "Plasma Boy" Wayland, the man who helped bring electric vehicle drag racing to the attention of the world with his unassuming White Zombie Datsun 1200 conversion and Austin, TX business man Mitch Medford, who've put together a small team of experts in their chosen fields. The plan is to build a limited number of muscle car conversions on pristine early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. The plan is to build a limited number of high-quality muscle car conversions on pristine (No restored rust buckets!) early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. Each can be customized according to buyer's wishes and blessed with its own serial number. The price tags will be in the eye-watering $200,000-and-up neighborhood, reflective of the cost and rarity of these cars and the custom nature of the alterations. Of course, you can't just multiply horsepower and add the monster torque that these electric motors put out and expect an antique chassis to hold up.
Ford says 70% of its models to get stop-start by 2017
Sun, 15 Dec 2013Ford is following up on a report we posted a few weeks back that the Blue Oval would be adding stop-start technology to its entire model range. Now, the Dearborn-based automaker has announced that the fuel-saving feature would be available on 70 percent of the company's range by 2017.
Ford claims the technology will improve fuel economy by around 3.5 percent, although its actual effect will vary based on how the owner drives - apparently up to a 10-percent improvement is possible for those who sit in heavy traffic (Los Angelenos, this means you). The latest recipient of the technology is the updated 2014 Ford Fiesta with the company's three-cylinder EcoBoost powerplant.
Part of the reasoning for the new addition has to do with cost. Ford claims the tech is affordable and easy to implement. "Simply put, Auto Start-Stop helps customers use less fuel, which is an important component of Ford's Blueprint for Sustainability," Ford's global powertrain vice president, Bob Fascetti, said.
Ford considering return to Le Mans with new EcoBoost LMP2
Mon, 21 Jul 2014If you want to see a Ford racing prototype, you need look no further than the United SportsCar Championship, where the Blue Oval fields two Daytona Prototypes powered by an EcoBoost-branded 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. But according to the latest rumors, that may not be enough for Ford, which has as much brand to promote overseas as it does back home.
That could be why Racer magazine is reporting that Ford may be poised to return to Le Mans in the coming years. As we all know, Ford competed at Le Mans in the mid-through-late '60s, bringing home four consecutive overall wins with the legendary GT40. The new program would not, according to Racer, seek to relive those glory days, but would instead compete for class wins in the LMP2 category.
Currently, LMP2 regulations are somewhat split between the United SportsCar Championship in North America on the one hand and ACO-sanctioned series like the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship on the other, but plans are underway for the regulations to be unified in time for the 2017 season. That could be when Ford is targeting its return, allowing it to compete on both sides of the Atlantic to maximize its exposure.
